hmmm rather interesting :D

i think not

not only its not fun, it can get damn expensive

of course not, silly

You know u could use both if u don't trust condoms ... toss one on and pull out.

dude there are about half a dozen solid tested ways of preventing pregnancies better than merely 'pulling out'.

probably 30 brands of pill, all differing in hormonal makeup - progesterone and oestrogen are the main active ingredients

the injection - depo-provera, 3 months in one shot, stops periods

the patch, like a smoking cessation patch, you wear it all the time for 3 weeks (a patch per week) then not one for a week

nuvaring, plastic ring with time-released hormone inserted at the top of the cervix, wear it for 3 weeks then have a week off, insert a new ring

coil/iud, preferred contraception method for after having your required number of offspring

vasectomy - yes, they are reversible these days

sterilization - permanent contraception for a woman

Think about the thousands upon thousands of women who are abandoned by the father of their kids, expected to take care of them all by herself. What about the women who cannot get child support from the fathers because they deny being the biological father, or not having any enforcement to be sure that they do pay their share?

ahh but they have laws for that too. My cousin married a woman who had a kid from a previous relationship. The kid was handicapped as well. The father ed off to england. This woman ended up being physically abusive to him so he left her. Well the law says that since he was the primary caregiver he now has to pay child support for a child that isnt even his. And since the child is handicapped, this support is for LIFE. So here she is now on welfare and getting child support. It was putting him in the poor house while she lived in a luxury condo. So he quit his job. By now he was remarried so the ex actually went after the new wife and won!

So to recap: The new wife is paying child support for her husband's ex-wife's kid who isnt even related to her husband in the first place!

Absurd.

When it comes to who gets screwed over more when it comes to kids, I would have to say it is more often the women. We're left with the physical burden, often left with the financial burden, the emotional burden, and men can get out scott free and take off with nothing to worry about.

really? then why is custody almost automatically given to women? And why are women allowed to collect allomony that far exceeds that which covers the cost of raising a child? And why are many fathers expected to pay support even if they are denied visitation?

There should be hard caps placed on how much money a woman can collect in child support. There should also be laws in place to ensure that men and women are treated equally when it comes to custody considerations.

quote:
Like I said, I agree that there are many cases where men get shafted, but if you look at the big picture, I think women are the victims most of the time, and I can understand the judicial system being inclined to take the mothers side, seeing as there are tonnes of dead-beat dads.

Perhaps many of them are deadbeats because they are expected to pay more than they can afford without having any rights? I know a guy who was a vice president of a majot company. He made 200 G a year. He was living in a crappy apartment in parkdale driving a box car while she cashed in on most of his salary and stayed at home and did nothing. And because she was a single mother she got FREE CHILD CARE fromt he government on top of all that! After 4 years he said he had paid her about half a million tax free dollars which he said was "more than her fair share to raise the kids until they are 18" and ed off to mexico never to return.

BTW he wasnt allowed to see the kids either. She wouldnt let him even though the court ordered visitation. The courts arent too quick to enforce that part of the deal it seems.

quote:
If a father feels like he is getting screwed in a custody hearing, he should fight for it. Obviously if it means that much to him, it should be worth it.

they do but many times they cant even afford the court costs because they are being bled so much with garnishes. Also the court is already heavily biased in the woman's favour therefore making it an uphill battle.

Many men have taken their lives over this in Canada.
