The woman is the one who gets pregnant, in case you missed your grade 7 health class. As a woman, if it is MY body, I would not trust someone else with it - male or female.

Don't put words in my mouth.

A male and a female create a living organism that grows and matures in a female body, yes.

A child is the responsibility of the father and the mother (though today's society tends to see differently) as is the consummation of that child. No I wouldn't trust the decision of contraception to just one of the parties involved either, that wasn't my point.

Interesting way of looking at it from a guy's point of view I guess. A pregnancy is worse than an STD?!! WTF!

Commend you for wearing a condom everytime but there are alternatives for an unplanned pregnancy...STD's..not so much..esp HIV.

Well, obviously a life threatening STD is worse than pregnancy, but pretty much every other STD isn't. Why? Pregnancy = game over life.

This is incredibly interesting; I really like this idea. As some of the other ladies mentioned, the pill can really with your hormones and thus, your emotions. When I was on Ortho-Tricyclene, I was a psychotic raving woman. Never again.

Pro choice = options. Abortion/Morning after pill? Adoption? Actually becoming a parent? (It can be a blessing too; your life is not necessarily over as you seem to equate pregnancy to.)

Condoms are also not 100% guaranteed protection as they have been known to break from time to time.

Let's also consider what effects will this thingy have on males.

We have our share of hormones too...

So not true, depending on your current situation in life.

Then what, exactly, was your point?

Yes, becoming a parent will be a blessing when I choose that I want to become one. Not when a girl decides she's going to lie about taking the pill so that I get her pregnant and will therefore never leave her.

Oh, I realize it may mess with their hormones too, but at least this way both sexes have the equal opportunity to take on that burden/responsibility instead of it being entirely on the womans shoulders.
