first off that just took no gi grappling to a pretty gross level. (I can't beleive there is no throwing up emocon provided here):D
secondly, my keylocks are horrible anyway. I can get the straight arm Kimura much easier anyway if in that position. (pop the elbow instead of the shoulder)
but my favorites are
1)rear naked choke
2)reverse shoulder lock with an armbar from holding gaurd.
3)ankle locks, both the achilies lock and the figure 4 but I try to avoid heel hooks just because I'd hate to cripple someone by accident if they didn't tap.
the rear naked choke is just plain flattering to pull off on anyone but otherwise I prefer to set up more unique submissions that most people let their guard down on. Fighting with the gi allows for lots of neat/sneaky transitions.
anyway, sorry for getting so off topic. even the mention of martial arts tends to get me 'excited'. :D |
