I loved the original office,...some truely cringeworthy moments, back when Id never seen cringe comedy like that before,...the american version i like also, the wiki pretty much says it, its getting better now its doing its own thing & the most recent ones ive seen have been really good in their own way. love the weird stuff between dwight & angela

hey hey hey!

don't talk about tv shows like Spellbinder, Ocean Girl (lol), and that show about a girl who is an alien, but is unaware of the fact that she has 2 hearts and stuff and that she is the general of an alien race and that her 70 year old neighbor lady is actually also an alien, the commander who has been on earth protecting the girl, or that show where I kid falls down from a tree house and falls into a coma and dreams about a world populated with kids.

Where it's at!

You cant even compare the two shows because they are different types of comedy , the Office UK is based on a real life office and would compare pretty well to an actual office enviroment. Even though the Office UK was original and funny , I actually find the US version a better watch for many reasons , I think Dwight is a better Character than Gareth and its upto 5 seasons already , there is a lot more Characters and a lot more storyline, plus you have the original directors Gervais & Merchant , also Greg Daniels the guy who wrote for Simpsons and King of the Hill. The Office US is a sitcom based on Mockumentary and not a Documentary like the Office UK.

finally watched the UK version. I must say I was disappointed. Some cringe worthy moments from David Brent and Gareth are funny, but mostly sad and depressing. I don't feel the characters at all, couldn't care less about them.
US>UK for me

Which I think I hated both versions when this thread was first posted.

it's not suprising that people from north america like the NORTH AMERICAN version of the office more.

i mean ffs the comedy is tailored to you.

and if you like the UK version more (and you live in north america) you're either FROM the uk (or some place in europe) or you're a total prick.
