Andy Chatterley
London based Andy Chatterley first began producing dance music in 1991, with legendary synth creator David Vorhaus, in 1991 he formed Conscious with Simon Berry of Platipus records and the duo signed to Cue Records. Their fist single Blind Lead The Blind charting in the UK at number 43.
Chatterley set up the now defunct but seminal house label Sperm Records with fellow producer Richard Schiessll, releasing over 70 12" singles and 4 albums. The pair remixed 5 top ten UK releases including Toni Di Bart, Banarama, Depeche Mode, Heaven 17.
1999 saw Chatterley's partnership with global DJ superstar Nic Fancuilli begin. Skylark's ' Thats More Like It' became a global house music and was signed by EMI's Credence label and later on Mark Brown's CR2 Records smash and lead to the pair to be amongst the most in demand remixes of 2001-2003 remixing 8 UK top ten hits and countless club classic including tracks for Kylie, Michael Grey, Tears for Fears, A Studio, Deep Dish, Syntax. Chiapet. Shapeshifters, Paul Woolford, The Modern, Sander Kleinberg, Skylark signed their second single to Junior Boys Own home of Underworld.
Chatterley and Fanciulli launched underground house label Saved Records with releases from their newly formed band The Buick Project, Pete Tong & Chris Cox, Paul Harris, James Talk and others, Saved records is currently as of 2007 a world leading house music label.
The Buick Project then embarked from 2003 to current on creating themselves into one of the most influential remix teams in electronic house music, remixes for, Underworld, Mark Knight]], Tiefschwarz, Timo Maas, Unkle, Shapeshifters, John Shelvin, Tracey Thorne. It was their remix of Tracey Thorne's Damage that saw Chatterley and Fanciulli nominated for a Grammy award in Feb 2007 for best remix of the year.
2001 Saw Chatterley's musical partnership with Richard Norris of The Grid The Droyds were born and with the release of the Duran Duran cover suitable changed title of 'Girls On Pills' and Squeezes ' Take Me I'M Yours', The Droyds were assured their place in Electroclash history. Chatterley and Norris set up God Made Me Hardcore Records from Chatterley Limehouse recording studio. Take Me I'M Your was license to Alan Mcgees Poptone label. The Droyds produced tracks for Siobhan Fahey ex Banarama and Shakespeare Sister 'Bitter Pill' was released on GMMH records. Bitter Pill as produced by The Droyds then came to become 'Hot Stuff' on the Cat Dolls debut album with Chatterley arranging and mixing the final Cat Dolls version. The Droyds toured the UK, and supported Electric Six on some of their UK dates. They later signed (2005) to Parlophone's Nu Religion label who release 'Modern Life' by The Droyds.
In 2006 Chatterley launched Edison after being asked by Blondie to rework Heart of Glass. He did and EMI signed it to Positiva records Blondie vs Edison. As Edison the last 12 months he has been busy remixing Adam & The Ants, Muse, Nelly Furtado, Justice VS Simian, Warren G, Billie Ray Martin, Peter Bjorn & John, Martha & The Muffins . As of May 2007 his debut album of Edison was near completion.
In May 2007 Chatterley was working with Kanye West recording synths and working on tracks from Kanye's forthcoming album.
