School Shooting: At least 32 persons reported killed by lone gunman at Virginia Tech (pg. 5)

"WBC will preach at the funerals of the Virginia Tech students killed on campus during a shooting rampage April 16, 2007. You describe this as monumental horror, but you know nothing of horror -- yet. Your bloody tyrant Bush says he is 'horrified' by it all. You know nothing of horror -- yet. Your true horror is coming. 'They shall also gird themselves with sackloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads' (Eze. 7:18).
Why did this happen, you ask? It's simple. Your military chose to shoot at the servants of God today, and all they got for their effort was terror. Then, the LORD your God sent a crazed madman to shoot at your children. Was God asleep while this took place? Was He on vacation? Of course not. He willed this to happen to punish you for assailing His servants."
No doubt they'll blame the shootings on the gays as well. But as many people have noted, the more these nuts trot themselves out, the more a symbol of the need for tolerance they become. |

What the is wrong with these people. Very appropirate to "picket" those poor peoples funerals. :rolleyes: How very sad.
Someone made some very bad calls yesterday. At the beginning of the school year, there was a shooting in Blacksburg VA, not even on the school premisis, but the shooter was at large, and they locked down the school then. Yesterday, there was a shooting ON CAMPUS and they don't lock the school down then?? How does that happen?? |

These campuses are HUGE..having about 25000 people...as most Universities are...its like a mini city..

It prevents people from coming in and out....but one problem...this guy was already IN...

If the media wants to REALLY prevent this from happening, how about not covering it 24/7 for a whole damn week, and talking about what big record this is..
Pepole LOVE records and attention...I do not doubt that this will happen again and get bigger and bigger cuz these psychos want to have the RECORD and all the attention...
We have to stop trying to make excuses and stop trying to assign a blame on people..
Its noones fault.
Is it hard to understand that in every few million people there has to be a psycho?? Not everyone is wired the same way.

If I'm not mistaken, the state of Virginia forbids weapons on school property and has several regulations on concealed-carry and such.
Just thought I should point that out in case you were being sarcastic. If one of the other students was carrying a concealed handgun, the death toll might have been a lot lower. |

we just had exactly the same discussion with my friend
I say the uni. is fully responsible for the 2nd shooting - it's not a freaking state they have to evacute, just one campus and with efficiently cooperating campus security and outside authorities this could have been done, i.e. cancel class and evacuate
classes should have been canceled without a doubt, that's one thing clear
oh well, it's too late now, and RIP poor students :( |
