Yeah that's true. I actually wanna rip off avra lavageen's song and make like this "hey hey you you i dont like your girlfriend no way no way I think you need a BOYfriend" hahahah.

I just had to vent for like one minute on this song. It's an exact replica of an old trance track played 30bpm slower. I guess it's no different than the mid-90s breaks that are exact replicas of 80s hip-hop sped up 30rpm.

I give a . Yeah it's still a good song. But god damn, a generic 1999 hoover trance drunken down with a salt n pepa "shhaaaa....push it" riff off synth? Lame. Totally lame.

Apart from the fact that this track is better than say 50% of nowadays trance music, early hip hop was based on sampling other tracks, so i don't know what you're complaining about.

this track sucks cheese. it reminds me of sean paul, and (as a generalisation) the people who love this track seam to all be idiots with ty boring personalities - like sean paul fans.

What's the problem? Is a tune just because it has similarities to something that came before? Well then you could spend your days making this kind of attacks on every track you hear. And how is this hiphop and trance at the same time? A 4/4 rhythm and synths, is that all it takes for something to be trance to you? That's a shallow view on music.

I don't hear something new in that track.
The supersaw synthsound that was so famous for trance in the early years (and still is), was used in "Yeah" from Usher already, and since then it was used in countless american hip hop songs.

Using just a sound is not ripping off the genre that the sound is famous for...

If I use a guitar in my trance track, you would't say "rock rip off" as well :)

That's fine and yes I'm well aware that hip-hop and even much of EDM samples stuff before it. That's not without saying that I can't snarl at or poke fun of something new that comes out and nit pick where it came from.

Here's the thing: trance doesn't sell well in the states. But if you slow it down 30rpm, get rid of ALL the decay/reverb/effects and rap over it suddenly it's a top-40 hit? that doesn't fly AT ALL with me.

Yes that's exactly what I do. Where are you from, my anus? I just poked fun of one song and suddenly I'm the bitch that can't enjoy a single song? Jeez enough already with your hasty generalizations.

Go to your old DJ friend's house that still has a turntable. Find a trance record that is supposed to be played at 45rpm. Play it at 33rpm. Bam, it's Timbaland's new song. Don't get mad at me just because I pointed out that this song is hiphop trying to be trance at the same time.

Oh god, go suck a tit. Can't I poke fun at a song without the PC Swedish crowd raping me?:stongue:

Guitar and supersaw synth are two different things. You can hear guitar in EVERY genre, where as supersaw was exclusively trance for a time period. After trance capitalized off of it (then in my opinion crashed from overusing it), when I heard hip-hop starting to use it I was like "oh no, not this agian."
