LOL....To give Timbaland a LOT of credit, he could have made the song much worse, like this one:

Oh this is semantics. Jesus don't get all serious on me again. It's all pop in Europe and Japan. Whatever you call it. Trance. Pop. Hi-NRG. Eurotrash. Same diff...

An arpeggiator can usually play a sequence of one repeated note. That however is not an arpeggio.
You can program an arpeggiator to play an arpeggio. Or least my arpeggiator can do that. But sorry for the miscommunication. I'll stroke Ish's and say "multi-tap delay" from now on. ;)

Did someone mention Sean Paul? That bitch is so damn annoying. Not only he's a wannabe reggae artist (yet he makes stupid boring cheesy generic MTV r'n'b crap), he's also a tough cu|\|t to beat on hard difficulty in Def Jam: Fight for NY. :D

LOL
I just listened to the clip put up in the first post. That doesn't sound anything like trance. It sounds exactly like the kind of cheesy synths that have been used in euro and pop songs since the mid 90s. I can't believe you're getting worked up over this . :stongue:

I can't believe you think I'm worked up over this. But yeah you're right. That's probably my error for sticking it with trance when it sounds like generic euro/pop-trash too. But omg listen to the song at the top of this page...I think that's the theme song in hell. It's like "welcome to hell. From now on you will hear agro white rapper rap with mid-90s high nrg, and they will not be harmonically in sync" ahahahahahaahaha.

So what's the point of the thread? It's a pop producer ripping off other pop producers. :conf:

To get nit picky, a lot of "hip-hop" isn't hip-hop just as a lot of "trance" isn't trance. Whatever genres you decide to call it, I'm still making fun of it.

But oh they did...listen in horror (Timbaland - "The Way I Are"):
Timbaland must have got ahold of a cliche progressive trance track from 1999 after someone took him to his first rave, accidentally played it at 33rpm when it should have been played at 45rpm, and decided to sample Justin Timberpoodle, a rapper and a chick, and call it hip-hop.
By the way in certain parts of the song the hoover sound and the kick gradually "unquantize" from each other at the end of every 8-beat loop. I think that was done on purpose. =(
It's bad enough when DJs spin trance and SCRATCH over it. But please don't slow it down, rap to it, and call it hip-hop. Thanks.
DISCLAIMER: Sorry to have this be my first MD thread, and I like listening to hip-hip and trance...but together at the same time? Ehhhhhh :nervous:
[edit] So, therefore, in conclusion, in summary, why is this track popular when any given trance track is not in the US?
Ahhhh i hate it why why did he do this?!!!!Why??!!!!!(crying)

Still it's just horendous that they try and go in the electronica direction of any sort.
