Before you kill me, I'm not suggesting that he will or won't not. Just wondering, since he's had the quickest rise of fame of anyone I can think of in dance music history, and the amount of artists that are using the sound that he brought to the forefront, will he be remembered as some sort of originator and a pioneer when it's all set and done ?

Are you ing serious? You've been registered since 2003, and you're actually considering this? Have you been paying any attention to how trends in dance music work?

Template based production of course. :gsmile:

1. a person who is among those who first enter or settle a region, thus opening it for occupation and development by others.

what the has deadmau5 accomplished to come remotely close to being a pioneer?

So he's scored on a sound that appeals to the masses, sold a load of tracks, but seriously, COME ON.

I honestly don't think deadmau5 is that popular either. The likes of DJ Sammy, Scooter, and co. get much more attention.

but of course, best wishes to him...

I dunno, few people can touch the producers of anthem trance when it comes to the "shameless and repeated exploitation of a formula" category.

pioneer?:nervous:

Sadface
"Pioneer" might be too strong a word, but you can't deny that he's had an enormous impact on progressive house over the past year.

Ralph Fridge and Ferry Corsten spring to mind.
