He's just really excited about the move.

Everybody's got a price and the billion euro man has it. Robinho is next on the list.

Ben Arfa joins Marseille from Lyon for £11 million. Nice little tug-of-war they had going there for a couple of days.

Newcastle United sign Jonas Guttierez from Real Mallorca for an as yet undisclosed fee.

Great deal imo, he exudes pace and skill and should provide good ammunition for Owen, Martins, Viduka & whoever they have upfront. Great work ethic & sad for Mallorca that they're losing him, probably Dani Guiza and i'd guess Arango too would be tempted.

thankfully ac milan have ended interest in adebayor.

Wouldn't want a player like him anywhere near the milan team.

especially not for arsenals scandelous 35.8m asking price:conf:

it'd take a lot of money to make anyone want to be a scouser

I don't even understand why his stock has gone up so much. The service he was receiving last season was stellar, and barring a few, the amount of goals he scored had little to do with his skills as a finisher. But it's his attitude, especially with the part he played in the threatened strike by the Togolese team in World Cup 2006, which bothers me the most. I'm sad he won't be going to Milan because I watch Italian football the least. :D

In a team that boasts Javier Mascherano and Xabi Alonso in the central defensive midfield role, I'm curious to know why Liverpool would pay more than £15 million for Gareth Barry. The English market is inflated beyond belief.

because barry has a natural chemistry with gerrard for one, they're great mates from way back and rafa imo is looking towards the 4-2-3-1 formation with the following team

reina

degen
dossena
agger
carragher

mascherano
barry

babel
gerrard
bentley

torres
noikeee
That could backfire, i'm not sure if Gerrard would fit well in the #10 position. I thought he was more of a box-to-box, #8 kind of player.

Then again Benitez sometimes played him in the right, god knows wtf is he trying to do.

Bentley is a new signing, right?

Not yet, and it's looking unlikely that Ince will let him go easy. I thought Torres thrived last season because he was part of a double-pronged attack. I guess he did alright on his own against Russia and Germany.

torres got most of his assists from gerrard. signing barry who knows the english game, to p[lay with mascherano will let them push him forward permanently imo.
