and no not everyone cheats...cheating is a choice we make and alot of ppl make stupid choices willingly and do bad things. many of us have self respect, a conscience, morals, respectr for other ppl etc...and will never cheat. |
i bet you use your left hand sometimes, how does your right hand feel? No way anyone has let you touch their vag. |

lol at Emery's post.
Why cheat? End it, if you're not happy then do what thou whilst. Otherwise you're just being a coward like Jpie said.
Can't really say more personally as I really have no frame of reference. |

Very rarely do I disagree with you but I do in this case.
Just because someone cheats on their partner doesn't mean they don't love and care about that person. People make mistakes, people screw up, people make bad decisions.
Some people have more will power than others and we all see this each and every day. People know its bad to smoke, do drugs, drink too much...but we all know people who don't know when to stop and others who can.
I also think there is a huge difference between a " happens" and habitual cheaters...habitual cheaters are simply using people and it has nothing to do with a bad choice.
(also please don't read more into this than it being my point of view) |
I agree with this.
I've seen people make mistakes that end up hurting themselves as much as they end up hurting the other person. It's a difficult thing for a couple to go through. |

Girl, I commend you, I know everyone is different, but really I would litterally rip Jay's balls off and make him eat it if he ever even kissed another girl.
I know sex can be just that, without emotions, but I find it hard to comprehend when your getting into bed with your loved one the next night.
Guilt would eat at me.
And about your co-worker. This just says alot about his personality. He's a straight up liar and fake.
People's value are different, and I know people who have tried to JUSTIFY their cheating habit to me. In their mind, it's natural and they have to do it. They can simply get into bed and tell their bf/gf they love them and then continue to them... I refer to these people as SOCIOPATHS. |

lol its hard to explain, especially on a message board. The thing is, is that I have COMPLETE trust in my man, and thats what makes this whole thing EASY. I think I was born without the jealous gene. There are definately rules that we follow STRICTLY, and we also know that if or when we tie the knot, that party time is over. We are young and in love, but we have our whole lives to JUST be with each other. (if we make it that far...fingers crossed!)
We know who we love and we know who we are coming home to, we know who we give our hearts to. And, like I said, being in an open relationship is NOT promoting promiscuity by any means. We both still exhibit a strong sense of self-control and are VERY picky. (thankfully my man is extremely picky and I dont have to worry about him going out and being a man-whore!) The times we "wander" are far few and inbetween for BOTH of us, and we dont use this as an excuse to go sleep around....rather we are accepting of the fact that we *may* be spending our lives together with just the two of us and choose to enjoy our sexuality and experiences with each other and otherwise until then. Again tho, the rules are STRICT and breaking them is terms for immediate breakup, no questions asked.
Edit: also, as per my coworker: I f I ever found out my man carried himself like my coworker does, I would *also* chop off my mans balls. My coworker is straight up scum in terms of how he treats his woman. He lies, and is a man-whore, and does some horrendous to get away with it. The trust and love is CLEARLY not the same in this circumstance.  |

I totally understand your relationship and realize how completely different it is from the cheating factor. Like I said I commend you. ;)
Now I have a curious question.. do you tell eachother of these encounters? and does it hurt atleast a little?
Do you go as far as to ask details of eachother's experience? |

um, well when we first sat down and discussed this, I didnt have a problem with hearing about it, but he preferred not to. I think that (strangely) he is the more sensitive one, in terms of hearing the details. When the topic ever gets brought up, he understands that it *may* be going on, but prefers not to know the details, or when it happens.
lol the funny thing is, he might think its going on way more than it is, because it really happens VERY rarely. I love him a lot, and need a very good excuse to go elsehwere....but at least I have the option! ;)
Edit; no worries rachel, even my own friends still question me and my sanity and I have been with my man for 5 1/2 years + :) Its something you can only do IF you trust someone, because I was thinking about how this would work out with my ex, who was not very trustworthy, and I saw it as ending in disaster! lol most people dont get it, and thats ok with me, but I do answer people's questions to the best of my ability ;) |

Thanks Kel, I love understanding other people's rationale for things, I think it makes me a more tolerant and well-rounded individual in general.
Just a couple more questions...
Have you been open for the whole of your relationship? Was it your idea or his? |
