Yeah i was well pissed off when i heard Kanye ing West was headlining, i mean get a ing grip GG. Couple of years ago it was an awesome festival, daft punk and general dance music heaven.

I'm glad that this forum has given the correct response to this.
Most places have just been like "Oh, good booking, he'll pull in a crowd and puts on a good show - and some more generic bollocks because I am a bum licking bandwagon jumping moron who cant disagree with everyone else who has said the same"
Point is, with regards to going out on a Saturday night, you / people make a choice to go to a Luminar Leisure hole such as Liquid or Time or Envy or whatever they are called now, and get drunk, hear Kanye West and 50 Cent, forget stuff and are surrounded by utter scum, OR, you go somewhere decent, and hear some proper EDM.
Its just incredibly , with some lulz mixed in. |

I've got to say, I see no false advertising. Hip hop is just as much a form of EDM as house or jungle. People who don't realize this, or willfully ignore it are just asshats. If an EDM festival wants a hip hop DJ to headline, that's their gig.
And I also see nothing wrong with Kanye headlining. Yes, he's a complete and total tool, and yes we'd probably all be better off if he stopped pretending he was "with it" as far as house and techno go, but compared to the rest of the pop hip hop crowd, he's also ing Mozart, and he was a tool, too. |

| It's annoying the way hip hop and r&b is seeping in to festivals. I don't have a problem with the genre, just I don't see why it's being played and rock and dance festivals. (Well, I see why but it's annoying as hell). Maybe they're too scared a hip hop festival would turn in to a stab fest or something ): |

ok are all in genres EDM then? , rock (electric guitar) ,hip hop (electric god knows what), pop (electric )
Its advertised as Europes leading electronic dance festival , which springs to mind , trance , techno , house , rave , hard/house/style/core ,you know core EDM that is made on sequencers and various synths and other equipment and even in fully software applications that you dance along to the beat and loose yourself in riffs , cresendo's and breakdowns

Have you heard any hip-hop lately? Here in the dirty south, there's all kinds of hip-hop on the radio that's sounding awfully trance like (but also just awful in general too). The JP-8000 supersaw had just hit hip-hop upside the head... watch out... |
