lol those tracks are sweet, but aren't unique or anything! I got most of those on my itunes! Pretty much mainsteam, top of the beatport charts, techno! |

This is why I am not overly excited about seeing Hawtin DJ... I feel everyone would overhype the event a million times over and have extremely high expectations and then once he played everyone would just realise 'hey, hes just another techno DJ' |

Richie doesn't just play tracks, he essentially uses tracks everyone else is playing to create a base for sounds that are completely different, through the use of effects, sampling, layering, etc. Trust, it's not the same sound that all the other people buying the those tracks on beatport are pumping out. |

Agreed. Although whether or not what he is doing sounds better compared to just playing the track is another story IMO. Not trying to be a hater here... |

It’s nice to see a DJ using social media affectively. So many DJs have adopted Twitter, Facebook, etc but I feel like very few have used these web applications to better interact with their fans.

Thats right too. But imo it stands out more that they are not fresh. At least play some tunes that are cutting edge and exclusive if you are a world famous dj... |

| DE9: Transitions pulls in allot of older tracks, and is still probably one of the 'freshest' studio-mixes I've heard in a long time and still gets continual play by me. |
