It does seem a little early to sell tickets before Resolution, however for ppl like me who aren't going to Resolution ( can't justify paying so much for Tiesto ) it's the only ticket i'm buying since Black and Blue.

Yes there is no lineup...but come on guys give me one year where they failed to bring world class names to the event?

And for many people attending this event these days it's not even about the DJs anymore...it's to be seen and be part of the event.

Victor Caldrone was the only headliner this year who performed at 100% IMO.

they could go back in time even further... didn't Tenaglia do one of the early BeBs?

Thanks brother! I appreciate the kind words... but I think we are the minority at that event who go for the DJ's.

I find Black and Blue to be more true to the music. Bal en Blanc is turning into the same old formula.... bring in the well known popular housy producers ( David Guetta, Cedric Grevais, Steve Angello ).... bring in the Montreal icons ( Offer Nissim , Victor Calderone, Deep Dish ).... and bring in the popular local talent ( Danny Torrence , Stephan Grondin , Cesar Romaro , Uppercut , Franco Fabi, etc... )

Sure it attracts a more commercial/party crowd and they spend money... but at the expense of losing the deep dark twisted underground feel that started these events in the first place.... where is D-formation, Steve Lawler, DJ Vibe, Joubin, Mark Anthony, Creator????

I would just look forward to it a little more if it was less commercial and predicatable.

Yes your right... Danny T did the 2nd BeB. Would you believe the first BeB had 2 DJs for the entire night?

Yes bringing Danny T and Mark Anthony back would be a fantastic idea!

:-))))
malek
yeah but don't forget the bal en blanc back then were just glorified after hours night with a few big djs, the party literally exploded in the last 5-7 years.

I wish Montreal had a decent big space to accomodate even more people in the likes of 20,000 at bal en blanc!!

that would be appropriate and bumpin'if Danny T is on his game that night..he can be up and down from few times I saw him .. I think Mark Anthony did BeB way back too? I thought I saw it archived on the current BeB website but I can't view it here at work.

Between you and me, we'll crack BeB's so called big surprise for this year :p

But knowing how this thing is being run, you wonder if they've even considered that?

EDIT: Malek, Olympic can hold more, no?

Didn't the Olympic Stadium have this kind of capacity. IMO that venue is the best I have ever heard in my life!

2007 Black and Blue was held there and it was unreal!!!

Either way your now talking about an event the size of Sensation White in Europe. I'm surprised actually that Montreal doesn't already have something of that nature ( 50,000 ppl event )

Yes, BeB #2 was Danny T and Mark Anthony.... must have been pretty good regardless of the size....

I dunno if they could crack the 25,000 barrier unless they put some popular mainstream hip hop act in there (JT? :p) but it is trending higher and higher like Malek said.

There were 16,000 at Black and Blue '05 at Olympic and no crammed dancefloor, long lineups or bathroom issues.

Above and Beyond are confirmed according to their website. I don't think I've ever paid for my tickets before January at least, could be wrong though. Either way, should be a hell of a partayy.
