it'll be an amazing party, no matter who spins.

who cares who's spinning, you've seen them all anyways.
Mr Moss
yeah i think its quite ok to skip a massive if youve had enough of the djs in the lineup.. get to save some money for the events you really want to check out + beb is big enough that they always attract curious first timers from mtl and beyond to make up for ppl that drop out

I think the main reason id wanna go is calderone and possibility of preach and maybe to wear a shirt with a tree on it or somethin

So this year's theme happens to be nature and recycling.
YUP BeB IS recycling a lot of its DJs and its method of operation. HAHAHAHAHA.
Perhaps they'll be environmentally friendly this year and use "recycled paper" decorations and energy efficient light bulbs as lighting. MWAHAHAHA.

I wonder if they'll have a bunch of recycling bins for the tons of water bottles that'll be chucked out that night. Hee hee hee.

I joke...looking forward to the party.

Calderone is the only one I'm interested in catching. But, hopefully there'll be other notable names in the house room. I'm not much for Guetta, but I'll do my best to find a beat to dance to, in his set.

Tickets blast away because of circuit partiers, cheese followers and people who love the party itself and don't care about the music. I know a lot of people backing out because of the pathetic lineup.

It sucks that it has to be about making money instead of throwing an amazing party.. but every year its the same.

party isn't all THAT great when you think about it, really. Its attraction is because it's the only edm massive in town and that you're able to see that many djs on one card, plus it gets ppl out during the winter doldrums, especially if you live in sad-sack towns like Ottawa :p . The all-white theme is a big draw too.

Otherwise, the party itself, for what you pay, is crap.

i went to BEB4... i was a noob back then, yes. i didnt even know i went to BEB until much later in my life when i found my ticket stub in my box of junk! all i remember from that night is freezing my ass off waiting outside in the snow, in the cold for at least 2 hours before getting inside the CEPSUM..... i guess things havent changed that much in the past 10 years! oh ya, they have, now we get to wait INSIDE!! :P
elFreak
same thread every year.

it is never gonna change, so there is no point in complaining. we aren't the people this event is being marketed to. Everyone has got to start somewhere, and if people are willing to pay so much for so little, who are we to cast judgment anyway. Piknik, Igloofest and Mutek (and maybe Stereo if they actually come back with relevant bookings not stuck in 2004)are just around the corner for music fans that want the best bang for the buck. Montreal is in a ty rut right now, this event does not make it worse and brings in money for an industry that is on life support in this town at the moment.
kanaBEATya
naw they're not complaints anymore.
they're just convo fillers until someone else confirms another DJ and then we'll start bitching again :toothless

elFreak
so this thread is going to have 2 months of filler talk?

what came first? the chicken or the egg?
did montrealers become trance fans before big massives existed or did massives made montrealers become trance fans?

i think a city becomes what it is exposed to. what if BEB, sensation and resolution were actually techno massives? what do you think would happen to montrealers's tastes in music?
