No, I'm just wondering how you will be able to have a full time job and efficiently run a label at the same time. They're going to clash eventually (which, judging from the posts here, is already starting to happen).

Not a problem at all. There is 3 of us. I don't know how much you know about the business side of things, but we are much quicker and on top of things than other labels. You see the 1 or 2 people here who say they never got an email returned, what you don't see is the 100+ since November who did. :)

Underwater Remix of "Sorrow" has been posted to our MySpace. The finished Mango remix will be available. We anticipate to be distributing through Beatport in 4-6 weeks. For those of you on the fence about submitting, I would suggest getting your name in the hat early. With out any visible distribution I can understand how an artist would be reluctant to submit demos. That will be changing very soon. I will never forget who had faith in this label when we were building it.

Fair enough. I'd send something but I don't think our interests quite match.

You'd be surprised. I would encourage you to read our mission statement on MySpace. It was actually one of the things that the Beatport manager really liked about our labels approach. The line was "Olympik Records will soon be known globally as the most diverse and envelope pushing label in the business. We take a lot of pride and have a lot of belief in what we hear and believe. We strike a perfect balance between what the industry wants to hear and experimentation in Electronic Dance Music. Did you ever imagine a label would be asking an Italo disco artist to remix a TasteXperience track?"

It's all true too. We are non-genre specific. The only genres I will not accept is D&B, Jungle, Dubstep, etc. Everything else is good to go. Ambient, movie score type productions (we actually send our promos to several large companies in America. Coca Cola & Toyota to name a few), house, techno, trance, etc. Progressive breaks are good. Progressive atmospheric breaks are amazing but so hard to find good ones.

Also don't forget that it is a confidential process. If you want to post about your experience with my label, good or bad, on this forum, go ahead. You will however not catch me discussing what so and so submitted and what my thoughts were.

The thing is there's something very specific I'm looking for, I've got this little project I'm doing.

Of course, there are always the one-off tracks.--

Can someone explain why? I'm curious.

We're just not interested in it. We don't listen to it, therefore don't follow it, making it irresponsible and reckless for us to try and work it.

Keep'em coming guys.... :) We signed our first track from a TA artist (Rysh Paprota) and look forward to more in the future. Remember, it's a confidential process (until the ink dries). I appreciate those here who have submitted your demos. (you know who you are). I can listen to demos until the cows come home.

We are constantly updating our MySpace with new information and tracks, so make sure to visit often.
