I'd like to announce that we've signed another artist who found us through TA. I'm not sure how much of an active poster they are, but nonetheless they are apart of the community.

Just wanted to give an update to all the TA members.
Distribution will begin in April as I've already said. We have live distribution accounts with the following online retailers:
Audiojelly
Juno.co.uk
BeatsDigital
DJDownload
We're only holding those four at the moment pending our process with Beatport. The desire of the label is to be Beatport exclusive, however in the event they deny application, we will have every other distributor ready to go. We are very confident that Beatport will give the green light, but we don't get any news from them until at least April 1st (they better not try some april fools stuff!). We're extremely confident Beatport will accept the label as we've had zero problem with other distributors and we have so much more to offer than other labels on the website. We also have a few angles which never hurt ;)
We understand how important distribution is for an artist. It's really mutual because it's vital for a label as well so rest assured, we share the same concerns regarding Beatport, etc. I hope that you will see this as a transparent, hard working group of music purists trying to push good music and give back what little we can to the global community through charity donations.
Please, continue to submit your demos. We are really looking for some vocal tracks. If you have submitted tracks and have not received a response from me personally, please resubmit and make sure they are links only. ([email protected]). I have been doing tons of demo reviews, which is no excuse to miss any, but keep in mind that for every person who has said they havn't heard anything from me there are many, many more who have.
Again, it is 100% confidential. There have been submissions from frequent posters here so please do not be shy. I'm a Registered Nurse so confidentiality isn't really a problem for me. I really really enjoy bringing people aboard from TA as I think this board is a gold mine of talent.

Just wondering, why is it you wish to be Beatport exclusive?
Distributing through Beatport is certainly essential as they account for something like 80% of the market (last I heard). But why would you wish to be exclusively beatport rather than use as many distributors as possible? |
