| damn, ticket prices this year are steep! 100 GA both days? in years past i remember getting tix as cheap as $35! and now they're starting off essentially 50 bucks each day? vip isn't too bad, 200 for both days is pretty good, but i'm coming (hoping to at least) all the way from texas, which means i also gotta pay for flight, hotel and possibly a rental car! plus, the gf is coming along, i dunno if i can afford it this year! i'm still broke from WMC :/ |

Yoji is EPIC!
Same here, just got back from Redlands last night.. Amazing set.. Can't wait to see him at EDC, they better give him a good time slot.. If i have to see him play during the day like Menno De Jong last year, i'll be LIVID..

He's playing the second day Saturday...I saw him last night @ 420 festival. WOW!!! His set was mindblowing. What a GREAT set, the BEST I've heard and I've seen him twice. Once in LA for RED and SF last year. He PLAYED alot HARDER at a non club event. Can't wait for this one... |

| If you get HARD TICKETS, will you have to exchange them for TicketMaster tix like they have in the past? |

Jesse.
You should contact the local music stores.
If you get them there, it should be the physical ticket and you won't need to exchange them at the gate.
I just called Dr. Freecloud and they got the tix in last night. Here's the break down of prices which already include all service charges.
Friday GA $58
Saturday GA $68
Both days GA $102
Both days VIP $205
I'll call Dj. Culture once they open at 12pm since they're a bit closer to me.
*fyi for those in HB wanting to go to DJ Culture to get their tix: They only take cash. |

| Is there any special deal going on today? Or should we just get the ticket at the prices going for now? |

I'm EPICALLY excited to see Fatboy Slim, ATB, Aly & Fila, Yoji Biomehanika! YAY!!!!
I haven't seen them yet, nor James Zabiela & Kaskade, and I'm excited for them too.
I always love seeing Kyau & Albert and Infected Mushroom, so glad to see Kyau & Albert are getting booked at an LA massive. |

There was actually an article in the LA Times recently talking about attendance at festivals/massives during The Great Recession. EDC was quoted as having reduced their ticket price from a planned $130 to $99 for a 2-day GA ticket to help make it more affordable, so guess we are getting a break.
I know that tix were $35 a few years ago, but gas was $1.85/gallon and restaurants sold entrees for under $10 too! I'm by no means arguing for higher ticket prices, but considering the number of DJ's and all, it doesn't seem too bad of a deal. In the end, people like us will decide whether this is the biggest and greatest EDC in history, or an unaffordable rave.
I just can't imagine how it could get much better than last year though (aside from the lines to get in, when I was swearing that I would never come back!) They are improving things though... |
