i got the teaseer flyer for this in miami @ wmc, and the initial lineup didn't exactly send chills down my spine, but now that SvD, zabiela and markus are on board, well things are starting to pick up!!!
i've been to the past 3 EDC's and i don't even live in cali! i'm from el paso (read: far west) texas and its a 12 hour drive just to get to LA... i always road trip it with a car full of buddies, but i think this time i'm gonna fly out there since its a two day affair. i'm really excited to see how the rest of the line up fleshes out... i'm dying for above and beyond again!!! they were tremendous in 07! nothing beats the LA colessieum with an army of 50k screaming ravers! |

- I like your attitude!!! I'm stoked Zabiela will be there.... A&B would be sweet too but they are already booked for May 9th in So Cal so we'll see :( |

Outside of Zabs and Fatboy Slim (whom I'd see just for the experience), I agree with you. But alas, I'll be at Avalon that Saturday night for the Burridge/Lawler madness. |

ooooooh reeeeeaaaallly??? what time does avalon go until? i might be down to leave EDC around 2:30-3ish to go hit up avalon. i don't really care much for PvD, so ditchin him for lawler and burridge would be a nice idea! |

hahaha thanks. i fell in love w/cali massives after how sweet it is 05 and have made the trip for every EDC and nocturnal the past 3 years, with a couple of New years eve's to boot. we have a really good scene here where i'm from (specifically across the border in juarez, mexico) but theres never anything even remotely the size of an EDC or even HSIS. the best festival we have is called border noise, but its pretty sick! its always a 3 day, weekend affair. in 08 we had laweler, teifschwarz and audiofly on halloween, then saturday boizenoise and adam freeland, and sunday james zabiela closed it off at the "dark little rave box" known as hardpop (recently ranked #32 club in the world by dj mag!!!)
but nothing touches the Colosseum @ EDC, not even ultrafest... ultra probably has a better overall lineup, but i think the vibe and production values at EDC are just out of this world! plus cali people (girls in particular) are waaaaay cooler than the often times snobby miami folks! |

Avalon usually goes til about 7am, but it may go later for a monumental event such as this... |
