VIP vs. General Admin.
What do you get aside from a VIP badge, hard liquor and a place to sit?
If this is one of those shows with no bathrooms and $8 waters lines out the ass everywhere VIP might be worth it.
Or VIP is just a bunch of chairs and watered down vodka drinks. You pay for VIP at Pacha you know what your getting,,,,but with this you have no idea and once your in... your kinda screwed.
Soooo can anyone shed some light on this conundrum?
Thanks....see you at the stage with Luciano!!!!! |
it has been brought up but no one "official" has answered the question as to what we actually get by paying nearly double the ticket price. i'm not so sure what the mystery is especially since at this point i would assume a lot of people have bought vip passes. i'm expecting more than the privilege of letting them take more of my money at the bar, ideal vip locations around the stage too with good sound. personally, i want a shirt or something. |

if VIP is anything like the past festivals I've been to then it's a complete waste of money. The only upside I see for this one is being able to get liquor. I just plan on making a friend in VIP and getting drinks that way if I even feel the urge to drink a watered down overpriced vodka tonic.
EDIT
Can anyone confirm or deny that tickets from rebel rebel or halcyon don't have the ridiculous $24 service fee with them? Can you get them at the standard $110 (or $120 after midnight tonight)? I have several friends in new york and I plan on sending one of them a check and having them pick them up for me if this is true to save a bit of $$ |

I just got my ticket for Day 1 from Rebel Rebel and they only charged me a $6 service charge. Total $66. But I think ticket prices are going up either today at midnight or Friday at midnight. |

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT WILL BE FROM 10PM - 8AM. NOT MIDNIGHT TO NOON. Take note of this change and spread the word.
On August 21st, Blkmarket Membership brings the word 'DEEP' to their party.
Showcasing 3 headlining international talents, we bring you Agnes Live, Ripperton DJ, and Dan Berkson and James What Live.
We first booked Agnes back in 2007 when he had released his more minimal tech-house album 'Dumbles Debuts' which became a highly praised album by many people. Since then, Agnes has been pushing what he is really known for, his true HOUSE sound. Label Boss of the famous Geneva based record label, STHLMaudio, Agnes has focused more on showcasing unknown artists with that deep sound on his label. His recent release 'Love Tempo' has been a massive hit. He also produces under monikers such as Benelli, Cavalier, Modeste and Ray Valioso. In our eyes, he's an absolutely amazing talent and we are very excited to have him do a special Live PA for us. All you house heads know what we are talking about when we speak of Agnes!
Ripperton gained his popularity under his alias name Lazy Fat People, producing on labels such as Carl Craig's Planet E imprint, Wagon Repair, and Border Community. Since then, this swiss talent has produced on many labels such as Sthlmaudio (Agnes label), Systematic, Rekids, Ovum, Liebe Detail, Viva Music and Dessous just to name a few. Artists such as Laurent Garnier, Beanfield, Steve Lawler and even Radiohead have had him do remix work for their music. A leading DJ in the Swiss scene, Ripperton is regarded as one of Geneva's best DJ's. This will be his New York City debut.
We also bring the special duo of Dan Berkson and James What Live to town. For the past few years we have seen their performances and they just work really well with each other and know how to move a crowd with their deep, melodic sound. Using their laptops, synthesizers and drum machines they always improvise while playing their music live. Its something definetly you do not want to miss seeing. The duo have found their home on Steve Bug's Pokerflat and Dessous imprints and have been producing a slew of releases on those labels since then.
Last but not least, Nathaniel Jay of Pitch It Down New York, brings whats he's known best for and opens up the night. A good dj with a great record collection, we just had to ask him to play for this party.
Taimur+Fahad complete the lineup.
See you on the dancefloor friends.

^^ Ditto.....
Seriously, for the price I just paid for tix, I am expecting one hell of a festival that weekend. The service fees were especially tough to swallow. In the end, it's more than what I have paid for Ultra in the past. |
