at night the walkway of the ward's island bridge usually rises to allow commercial ship traffic -- it's impossible to walk when this happens.
i've never walked to randall's island from the triboro, but if anyone's planning on it, the astoria exit/entrance of the triboro walkway is adjacent to astoria blvd, a little past 31st st (just beyond the neptune diner). the manhattan pedestrian entrance is on 125th.
i'm walking over in the morning from ward's island.

In English- after 9:pm, you're ed and are stuck on the island if you decide to walk on the foot bridge. You can take the Triboro(RFK) Bridge by car and there are some buses that go there hourly(have coin or a metrocard). We are driving and have room for three or four if you don't mind squeezing. We plan on being there from start to finish both days. If anyone wants a ride and can meet in Brooklyn or Manhattan, PM me.

If you put info in the trip planner @ mta.info.com, it appears that the M35 will run at night to manhattan (I put in the time of 11;45pm). This bus will take you to East Harlem (sketchy area, but you can get on the 4, 5, 6 train with a transfer and not pay extra)
in english for people going to Love/pacha/anything west side:
take the:
1. M35 bus to Lexington Ave (right across the bridge)
2. At Lexington stop, take Bx15 bus in same direction
3. Get off at A, B, C, D train (st. Nicholas and 125th)
4. For Love: A and D trains (downtown) will take you to West 4th where Love is. D is express and will get you there faster.
5. For pacha: take A to 50th street.
for people going to east side:
1. Take M35 bus to Lexington AVe
2. At lexington ave is 4, 5, 6 train to whatever destination you need downtown.

i was thinking of driving but i dunno how parking is on RI..
we live in Brooklyn (the bf and I) ..
i was thinking of parking somewhere in the city and walking over the bridge if parking is bad. I dunno yet. It's sunday so parking is free :D

I lived uptown before and wouldn't park around 135th St. It is $10 to park on the island for the day, this is charged by EZ because parking is usually free. I have volunteered on Randall's Island before and know it pretty well, it kind of surprises me that they are making people pay for free parking. Your best bet is parking near the after party you are going to and taking the train up. You can also take a cab on the island.
Would have loved Rebel Saturday night but who knows what happened there.... bar 13 is the only thing really going on :confused:
Prob doing Bar 13 Saturday [the day I am not going to the fest] and just go home after the fest Sunday.
edit - got them switched.. Bar 13 is Sunday ... so prob wherever reSolute will be Sat - I'll be there
