i feel like im going backwards.especially when your into edm it just gravitates towards a younger generation.not like 17's friend though as ive never done drugs.but as my career has developed and as a single guy with no kids i simply dont relate to most of the people at my work who most are married,have kids,and cant stand "techno" as they call it.their partying days are "so over" to them even though they have no idea what a party is.
even girlfriends dont understand that "hey im going to a party and i dont know when ill be back and YES its important to me"or "no i HAVE to do my radio show"i just cant not do it.they dont see the big deal its just a "bunch of noise" (thats why i need a girlfriend into edm!)
while i have plenty of responsibilities now if something comes up like an underground party and an afterhours party., if the musics good i try to make it a point to go.since i dont do it as much as i used to ill live that night to the fullest.no matter how old i get ill still do that in some aspect. |

needing a gf who is into edm is a huge myth.
mine hates it, but will still go to see villalobos and have a good time, as i will to her band nights and encourage her. I play my music loud, she plays her music loud (we have an awesome music room with all of my gear and hers). If you are going to base relationship choices on music and what type of clubs you like, you are doomed to fail as there are a million more important things than that to build a relationship that goes somewhere and is productive. |

I very much agree with ElFreak: you don't have to have a girl who is a Kandi Kid... it should be one of the least important things about the relationship. If she doesn't like your music tell her to piss off and go shopping with friends when you do your radio show.
If she's a cool girl with an open mind try to introduce her into EDM. Give her some AVB, if she hates the music she can at least fawn over how OMG KYOOOT he is. |
