jay you seem to be describing the symptoms of anti-social behavior more so than the symptoms of someone who is "clingy".
our roommate is like that. he's single and desperate and constantly needs to be on dating websites interacting with girls and/or going out and having people around him/socializing. he doesn't even like to work alone because he needs someone there to listen to him talk all day lol
if anything, i would think most of TAs are more of the "clingly & lonely" types:stongue: more specifically...yourself:p
and i'm not tryin to be a bitch and start anything i'm just calling it like i see it. |

How on earth is it "anti-social" to need constant interaction? |

i think your thyroid is already starting to cause you blindness.
:p
clingy means that it always has to be us (the old school group) that he relies on. We've all grown up you know? I am never going to tell someone how to live their lives, but the reality is if the friends you have can't indulge you for what you need, wouldn't the solution be to put yourself out there and make some new ones who are still at the same place in life?
i can't believe a girl who threw her around like she was playing ultimate frisbee calls me clingy for posting on a message board.:p |

no i meant that our roommate is the opposite. he is clingy and desperate because he needs constant interaction with people.
if someone is lonely and anti-social and broke with a drug addiction, that is more like you're a loner/loser...not someone "clingy".
that's all i was saying.
i know what jay is talking about, but i would just describe them as leachy and annoying? lol |

| leachy and annoying is exactly the same thing as clingy:p |

oh well i guess i know what you mean more now.
and i have no shame in admitting that i like a nice healthy dose of human interaction and...let's face it. we all come on here to express our "individuality" and hope for praise and admiration by one another. if you really think about it, that's what it all boils down to. i'm no exception. at least i admit it:p |

i love being around people, just i like it a hell of a lot more when they are at the same place and share similar interests.
i just don't feel like getting smashed out of my mind all of the time. No one else does either, we have responsibilities.
when i went to most of the mutek events i felt like a grandpa. I had a blast talking to a lot of people younger than i (in age and mentally), but lets face it outside of that type of event hanging out would never really happen because not in the same place as them. They can come over when they have a mortgage.:p |
