My gf was able to enjoy Sasha's Fundacion for some reason. Normally it's about a 1 in 500 chance she'll be anything more than indifferent to dance music I put on, though.

No, and you're not THAT tall. I probably come up to chest height on you... can I nibble your nipples instead? :p

Haha... man your initial few posts are so true about some people I know. Probably up to about age 28, my original inner circle of old friends were relatively similar. Then BAM!!!... the majority of us have started behaving like adults, getting married, evolving careers, having mortgage payments, etc.

Unfortunately, my best friend in the world who has always been like a brother to me is one of them. Has a wealthy family who always bailed him out and enabled his lazy behavior. Made it through 1 year of college, then quit. Never worked 1 single day his entire life until shortly after turning 30 about a year and a half ago (yet always complained about how he was bored) and that was only because the sasquatch he got engaged to made that a stipulation of a long term committment. For YEARS my friends and I bent over backwards hooking him up with jobs that he didn't deserve, and he would never show up or accept them (making us look like dicks)... eventually we just gave up. He stopped whining, but now sees all his friends becoming successful and has a deep seeded bitterness about him. For 16+ years, we probably didn't go 2 days without talking to each other, and now he's fading away and it's sad. He's married to some horrible wench because, in his words, "I can't think of anyone else that would put up with my ." I really hate to see it, but what can I do? :(

/rant

i got a buddy just like that, but since we're still relatively young (23-24ish) just imagine the same situation but without the marriage part. i hooked him up with at least two or three decent paying jobs, big steps up from the 7.50 or whatever bull he's making now, and every time he stood me up at the last minute, didn't show up to work, and totally made me look like a jackass in front of my boss(es). dropped out of technical college, ed up two opportunities to live in nicer cities, etc.

now he lives at home with his mom, no car, no license, no S/O, his meager checks garnished for a car accident he got in to a couple years ago.. it's sad.

needing a gf who is into edm is a huge myth.

mine hates it, but will still go to see villalobos and have a good time, as i will to her band nights and encourage her. I play my music loud, she plays her music loud (we have an awesome music room with all of my gear and hers). If you are going to base relationship choices on music and what type of clubs you like, you are doomed to fail as there are a million more important things than that to build a relationship that goes somewhere and is productive.

i have to say though, it is a ing blessing to have a girlfriend that willingly goes through my beatport crate and reviews my selections, browses with me at the record store, jams out with me on a saturday morning, and dances with me until the lights come on.

we certainly have a much deeper and broader relationship than this alone, but this is for sure some sweet sweet icing on the cake.

she would support whatever i am obsessed with at the moment.

that being said, we both are really jaded and rarely go out to the clobs, occasionally to support djs or promoters that we know more personally, or selected other occasions of musical greatness. There are a ton of other better things to do besides waste away in a dark room and listen to blop bloop with crackheads.
