its not as easy as you think
first of all your gonna have to grease the local politicians for the sudden "zoneing" problems that come up
then theres the kickback to the carpenters, and if you plan on useing any cement iam sure the teamsters would want to have a lil chat with you and that will cost you
dont forget a lil something for the building inspectors
then theres the long term cost such as waste dispostal...i dunno if your fammilar with who runs that business but i can asure you its not the boyscouts :D |

holy crap -- lot of tension in this thread!
i dont care if pacha stays or goes, personally. i gave it one shot and one shot only after soundfactory - and i thought soundfactory was probably one of the worst clubs i've ever been to (and i have been to a lot of clubs). pacha was just as disappointing to me. i have no plans to go back there. i agree that keeping it around helps what's left of the music scene in NY survive, but I also agree with mel... it'll be just another club to come and go-- others will open. maybe i'm just jaded and over "megaclubs"... i dunno.
i dont really see what everyone is getting so worked up over though. can't people have different opinions? jesus christ there is animosity in this thread. pretty entertaining :disbelief

Along the same lines:
Just heard thurs night Le Souk is opening again the Ave B spot that got shut down a few months ago, they won a lawsuit they had, so they'll be back soon. I swear that place is like teh herpes, you think it's gone for good and surprises you coming back.
Oh, and Pacha is still closed. |

| My best guess would be at least by the 24th & 25th. I keep getting invites for parties on facebook for these days, and it would be a real waste of time promoting something that isn't going to happen. |
