Well this game isn't about mixing or technical aspects. The whole point is to share music, and discussing it is a big part of that. It's disheartening when people just don't seem to register any visible interest.
Anyway, the game isn't going anywhere for now. |

What tracklist? I don't see posted yet. |

| Hmm, looking at ziptnf's mix... that's definitely not most of the best tracks I'd choose for full on(most of them are pretty good, but not top 10). Gonna download and listen tonight |

Echoes is just teasing, since she knows the man in question. Another genuine TA legend that this game would feel incomplete without, someone I'd planned to invite later who stepped in at the right time. He should need no introduction around these parts. The brother loves dubs...
montana
This one sort of took a life on it's own after I decided what records I wanted to use and how to bridge them together. it's missing a lot of house, techno & eurodance records but I've played a lot of my favourites in my other mixes so I felt it was unnecessary really. It's beatmixed with a couple of exceptions where I used cuts or ambient mixing.
Moodymann - Mahogany Brown | KDJ 1998
This track was probably my introduction to KDJ, right around I got really into house and deeper house. The way he twists that Walter Murphy sample in and out is genius.
Blondie - Heart of Glass | Chrysalis 1978
Mothering disco.... I don't have to introduce this track in any other way
The Prodigy - Voodoo People (Dust Brothers Remix) | XL 1994
One of the biggest 'big beat' songs ever and I'm playing it because a) it's still awesome despite me pitching it up a lot b) in one of my favourite unrecorded sessions I do the a similar transition and I thought I'd recreate it
The Persuader - Gamla Stan | SVEK 1999
you can never go wrong with a Jesper Dahlbäck production and especially when he was doing the persuader records on SVEK. It's not my favourite persuader record but I couldn't fit 'Djurgårdsbron' into this.
Britney Spears - Stronger (Miguel Migs Dub) | Jive 2000
yeah, Britney, and later I play Kylie... I have a thing for remixes of pop songs, especially when they are this good. Miguel Migs took full advantage of Max martin's production but stripped everything down to the chords. A very seductive record and it's one of my all time favourite tracks.
Speedy J - The Oil Zone (Edge Of Motion Remix) | Plus 8 1995
A hauntingly beautiful track that I discovered through Dream Injection 2 and this starts the a large part I like to call mothering electro
Two Lone Swordsmen - We Change The Frequency | Warp 1998
I use this a bridge but it's a really nice track with that Weatherall type neo-electro swag, this was one the first TLS track I heard and always found a way to play it in my sets.
Kylie Minogue - Slow (Chemical Brothers Remix) | Parlephone 2004
The best looking record I have, not sleeve, but record. It's the newest track and it isn't by all means a classic but I love it, so it's a classic. However...
Model 500 - The Flow (Jedi Knights Remix) | R&S 1995
This one ups 'slow' by being electro and acid and using some scratching. discovered through 'brit hop & amyl house'. It's everything you want in robot funk
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five - Scorpio | Sugarhill 1982
Classic breakdancing track and it's all robot funk and all awesome, I couldn't breakdance but the tunes people danced to when breaking got many of it's second winds got me into electro. This concludes the mothering electro part but it ushers in the hiphop part
Janet Jackson - What'll I Do (Dave Navarro Mix) | Virgin 1995
Now for something different, I heard this on radio back in the mid 90's and it's basicly Janet's vocals with Navarro on guitar and (his then bandmates) Flea & Chad Smith on bass & drums, it's very funky and quite rocking.
Eric B & Rakim - Follow The Leader | MCA 1988
Nusically it's all about the bassline and the way the 'Nautilus' samples comes in is this. Lyrically this is Rakim in his prime and it's all brilliant
Saint Etienne - Filthy (Monkey Mafia Remix) | Heavenly 1996
I got very late into Jon Carter but I became a big fan quite into his stuff after finding the 15 Steps EP in a bargain bin. This remix of 'Filthy' beefs up the original and is a fun party number.
Busta Rhymes - Gimme Some More | Elektra 1997
This got into my head on the first listen and the video was pissfunny. Busta Rhymes had his way with vocal acrobatics and had a flow like no other.
Jay-Z - Is That Yo Bitch? (feat. Twista & Missy Elliot) | Roc-A-Fella 1999
This isn't by any stretch Jay-Z at his best lyrically but this has a beat that's signed Timbaland that is way ahead of it's time. It's more UK Grime than US Bounce and it's why Jay-Z still performs this to date. Also this introduced me right proper to Twista.
Way Out West - Ajare (Way Out West Remix) | DeConstruction 1997
I disliked this version for so long, it just wasn't 'Ajare' for me. Ajare which is one of my favourites because it's uniqueness. I made my mends with the club mix since this is brilliant in it's own way and I love the halftime breakbeat intro.
Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy | Flex 1994
I don't care how overplayed this is, it's brilliant and it's all love. I hated the distorted bass part when I was younger, now it's the part I love.
Underworld - King Of Snake (Dave Clarke Remix) | JBO 1999
Incredibly funky techno, this represents Underworld, Dave Clarke & Giorgio Moroder. All geniuses in their own way and this is just so much fun to dance to.
Antiloop - Trespasser | Stockholm 1998
This was the Antiloop track that has had biggest impact on me, it's my favourite and I remember being 14 and going nuts to it at a 'rave'.
Cygnus X - The Orange Theme (Man With No Name Remix) | Hooj 1999
My favourite trance track of all time, well this and Miranda's Gnocchi. not going to talk so much about it except it's just all brilliance.
Jam & Spoon - Right In The Night (Instrumental) | JAM! 1993
I'm 9 and watching MTV and hear this song with this weird video. Little did I know that the radio edit of the original cut off the best parts or it had an instrumental version that was brilliant. 'Right in the Night' was commercial in it's own way, but it was a good tune
Goldie - Angel | FFRR 1995
Onto my favourite drum & bass tune, It's short but shifts moods really well and with 4Hero on programming and Diane Charlemagne on vocals. It's a winner.
Dania - Ya Dallah | EMI 1998
To end it all i had to represent with something from the middle-east. The original is a well known song by Arabic singer Sabah, and this is a drum & bass type cover and I love it.

The jack moss websites don't work... firefox downloads stuff as 94 bytes... and internet explorer won't download it.
Can someone upload the sand leaper mix?
A link for all the other one's that don't work would be great too (which is most of them).
Hmm... as much as I love elation station sometimes... it's not really what I'm interested in listening to when I'm downloading a full on mix... The second track is a great... second track, it doesn't really go anywhere good after that though (not that it's bad either) although I guess the idea of this wasn't about flow so fair enough.
Some good tracks, I'd heard 1/3 or so of them before though, and the natural vibes track... I think I've definitely heard too many times. There seems to be lots of psy like that, I dunno what system j was on about :P and the brainshwash track... was fairly reasonable... but there's similar stuff that's either lighter dark or dark/full on but with a bit more energy. I certainly wouldn't call it the most energetic full on track ever. A fairly decent mix. The last track is absolutely great though, now that's top 10 worthy (as is poisen) |

I think I was away on holiday when Sand Leaper did his one, so I don't have it to upload. If someone wants to up it somewhere, I'll give it a permanent host.
Which other ones aren't working? Gimme a list, and I'll see what I can do :) |
