The idea of using other sites where possible for longer samples is a valid solution at the moment. You aren't "innovating" by wanting longer BP samples or a different method of previewing the track. Many people have had similar thoughts. What people have suggested is a way of negating the problem as much as possible as things stand. Do you genuinely think that nobody has thought of your idea before, and if you write off to Beatport it'll set gears in motion?
As I said earlier, BP sample lengths and qualities have improved over the last year or two. I fully expect them to improve again, and so does everyone else. Nobody expects us to be still listening to two minute samples at 96kps in 2019. It clearly hasn't happened yet for logistical reasons. Unless you're a cynic and you want to believe the shorter, obfuscating samples allow BP to sell more crap records.
Either way, you aren't actually arguing about anything as such. You've reached the stage where you're actually arguing about whether you're having an argument. Everyone agrees that longer samples would be nice. All people mentioned were ways of getting round the problem for now.
If you're sat there, refusing to check for samples on other websites because you're too busy suggesting solutions out of your control because you think you're an "innovator" then you deserve to be unnecessarily suckered by a BP sample or two. |

How am I a "follower" if I found a product that I prefer over another product? It has plenty of amazing music, less of the bull/half-assed music that floods BP and... oh my God, get this! Full track samples! Yeah, I guess the only reason to switch websites would be because "everybody's doing it." Okay. :rolleyes:
