I simply came into this thread excited about getting a new toy. I've been producing like a poor mfkr for the last 6 years and the second I get some money together I get something that **I** want to get and I have to come here and listen to people telling me what I really need and don't really need.
This is my hobby. So one thing I WILL say is I KNOW what the hell I need for my hobby. If that makes me sound like I think I'm the , thats just a misrepresentation of how it really is. Noone has the right to tell me what standards I should enjoy my hobby by, thats completely absurd. |

you came on here saying the virus sounds better than software. It doesn't. Get over it. Nobody has a problem with your synth. Everyone probably owns one. I still have a B rack in storage somewhere. The point is that you have never owned a synth, still haven't even owned a synth yet since it is still most likely being shipped from ebay yet you somehow have the audacity to say it makes everything else sound like garbage from a bunch normal sounding presets that can be achieved with other tools. |

No no no, I never said a word about those "links", that was just a random link I posted and before we even got on this topic.
What I said is I would post 10 random virus samples, (or less if you prefer but it would make it harder for you in reality) and you would pick only *1* of those sounds to replicate.
What I said is you couldn't replicate 1 of THOSE 10 samples I submitted. Thats how confident I am that you can't do it. They would be 10 sounds that have a very obvious virus character, many virus sounds have that character, and no software can recreate it. If you don't believe me, again, 1 out of 10. |

Yeh cause it does sound better then software. Get over it. ty presets on the virus still have more character then decent presets on softsynths. And decent virus patches sound a lot deeper, dirtier and lusher then the best softsynth patches.
Sell your software and get over the denial.
All you're doing is minimizing how big the difference is. |

What don't you understand about "terms".
First you said I had to make a patch on the virus, and that you would create what I made. That was your first attempt at changing the rules.
So you saw that failed. And now you actually are asking ME to pay YOU money? What a desperate ing move.
I'll explain this move to other people in this thread so they understand what you're doing.
Mr. Riche here sensed that he couldnt get over on me by making me make the presets, so instead he tells ME that I have to PAY him to participate in a challenge that **HE INITIALLY OFFERED** for FREE.
But NOW, because he is afraid, he wants me to pay him? Haha. I could give 2 fvcks about apologizing, but I am not paying you a cent BECAUSE that was not part of the original incentive for you to shut me up. It had to do with how confident you were, so what you are really doing, is admitting your own confidence isn't incentive enough to take the challenge, but that I have to pay you too now?
Why? Cause you don't have enough confidence to motivate you? Again, if you change the terms in a way that don't give you an advantage, maybe I'll consider them. Otherwise, try again. |

I don't understand what you want me to say? Maybe I'll get my synth and change my mind, maybe I won't. But if you just bought a ing ferrari (or any car you were excited about) the last thing Im gonna do is sit here and tell you all the faults of the vehicle, and that twenty thousand people died last year due to poor safety specs.
Thats essentially what it seems like you're doing. |

for the third time, I never bothered to say anything until you starting going ape telling everyone how crappy software is. It was only until you started stating falsehoods with absolutely no context other than some preset mp3 demos you heard online did I start to get annoyed with you.
Ever wonder why it is only the people that don't have a virus that are the ones that will say they are better than any synth on the planet ?
And I never offered for free. I said it is easily done if you know what you are doing. So if you really are that confident, then reimburse me for my time. I don't think it is unreasonable. I will wave the fee if you take a picture of yourself in a dress and make it your new avatar. |

"Crappy software" was something you added to this all on your own. I simply made the statement that virus sounded better, not that software was crappy. Lets keep this focused first off.
And no I've never gathered any pattern that only people who don't own viruses talk them up. In fact, the only one other person in this thread has talked up viruses besides me is someone who actually owns a virus. And if you go over to the infected forums (all people who own viruses) you will see thread after thread of how wonderful they all think the virus is.
So please take that generalization as well and burn it. I will gladly take a picture of myself in a skirt. I will actually look better then you think cause I keep myself in shape.. so promise you won't get a boner.. and I'm not leaving my face for the world to see.
Think about it theres no rush, if we do wind up doing it, I won't be able to get everything uploaded till tommorow. Planning on bed in another 1/2 hour or so.. |
