We had James Holden (thanks Incognito)
We had Ricardo Tobar (thanks again Incognito).
Next up for some more Border Community... JAKE FAIRLEY & NATHAN FAKE needs to get booked in LA!
Please let me know when this is going to happen. ;)
Last time Jake Fairley was in LA was in Sept 2007 when he opened for Holden, and I don't think Nathan Fake has ever been here. Perhaps there is a package deal if you book both of them lol? Jake Fairley sings on a mic in his actual sets, which is interesting. |

| I'm getting kinda tired of the same minimal tech house dj's (not going to name any names) getting booked in LA the past couple years. LA needs more variety! |

+1 I'm def paying attention to when any BC artists are in North America and will contact my favorite SF and LA promoters to see if they can book them around the same time too! :D Incognito in LA on Fridays and Taj/1015 in SF on Saturday working together will be easier on the booking fees ;) I think I may have someone interested for Sunday too cause I found out that Tobar could of possibility have had a gig on Sunday when he was here...

First of Zabs is garbage (he was good 5 years ago). Second to say they are on the same level as Burridge is pure madness. Also Nathan Fake & Jake Fairley aren't even in the same category as Mark Henning and Jeremy Caulfield. This is fact. |

I guess what I meant to say was I'm getting kinda tired of only hearing minimal tech house or just straight up mnml whenever I go out. |

haha Ryan... I know. I want to check out the next HEAR party. I'll try to come out this time, but you know my circumstances :p I really miss you guys.
Like I just mentioned in my previous post, I meant I need a variety in the style (or "category") of music.
Border community music style is totally different from the stuff I've been hearing out lately. |

you never know, they may just come faster than you can blink ;)
hey julia, you should have seen CHYMERA last Friday in his 1st LA appearance, honestly, he was the best LIVE set I've ever heard, and I've heard a few. |

Alan, damn, are you serious? Ya, I've been missing out on a lot of good music!! Was the set at least recorded? I will come out of hiding soon! :)
Yes, please keep us posted about Jake & Nathan! :D
At this point, it seems like only Incognito is willing to book different dj's (other than typical mnml dj's). |
