I would say "can happen" but of course some women delude themselves thinking that they are "the one". Anytime you have a bunch of men together bad things can happen: they can be army guys, pro athletes, senators, fratboys, businessmen, bachelors, clubbers :p
Negative behaviour is quite often reinforced (and accepted) through peer groups. Many women are no different in this capacity. If a guy wants to know if his woman is dirty, sometimes all it takes is a glimpse at her social circle.
You can bet Tiger's circle (which may include a few golfers) condoned such behaviour and probably did the same things. |

as a golfer, I respect and I'm in awe of his abilities to play golf but for me personally, he is the worst thing to happen to golf. |

In light of what has happened, Tiger has dramatically increased golf's profile, which IMO, has been great for the sport.
I can't remember the last time a golfer made global headlines... |

How has tiger made the game of golf better for you?
Here is what he has done to golf to make it worse for me.
1. More people playing which makes it harder to get a tee time.
2. Increased the price of golf because demand has gone up
3. Made watching golf events with tiger unwatchable as all they do is show tiger
4. Have to hear about tiger at events that he's not even participating in.
5. Has created a whole new audience of golfers who have no idea about golf ettiguitte. |

Lets see, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Bobby Jones, Payne Stewart, Greg Norman, Chi Chi, etc. They are all golfers that were globally known.
I'm not saying Tiger hasn't had a dramatic affect on golf but for me personally he hasn't helped the game any. I don't enjoy playing the game or watching the game more since he became a professional. The real people who are happy that tiger came along are the ones who can exploit him (sponsors and the PGA Tour) and the other tour players. |
