Here is what he has done to golf to make it worse for me.
1. More people playing which makes it harder to get a tee time.
2. Increased the price of golf because demand has gone up
3. Made watching golf events with tiger unwatchable as all they do is show tiger
4. Have to hear about tiger at events that he's not even participating in.
5. Has created a whole new audience of golfers who have no idea about golf ettiguitte.

3. This has been where he personally has made it better. I admit, I’ll only watch events he is in, but when he is, I can't look away. I think like most people, I am intrigued to see whether he can break Jack's record. With golf being an individual sport, it's amazing to me that he is that much better than everyone else and in majors especially, to be favoured to win everyone and actually make legitimate runs at them most of the time is extremely exciting to watch. Each major he has won has left me wanting more (1997 Masters, 2000 US Open, 2005 Masters, 2008 US Open come to mind). Other records (Tiger slam, cut streak, 6? straight tournament wins) are unreal. I can't wait to see what else he has to offer.
4. Ya, that's ing annoying.
5. I disagree that Tiger has been the reason for this as it is happening across all society (lack of respect for everything in a younger generation of people)
Also made my golf experience better, Tiger Woods golf for the Wii is sick. :D

I think another reason why this story is so sensational is he has always pride himself on family. Anyone who follows golf on a semi-regular basis has had his life story thrown in our faces, where his Dad and Mom have been the ultimate supporters and shaped his mental toughness. To see him now go and screw around on his wife and let his family down really hits home with a lot of people who have only seen him before in a god-like status.
I wonder what his Dad would be saying now...

The one thing I will say is if Tiger wasn't around right now Golf would not be an Olympic sport in 2016.
