| I loved it. Found it refreshing and flavourful without being sweet. Was better than I was expecting. |

Lol, did you ask him why the hell you got a Hoegaarden when asking for a regular beer? |

On the card it said something like wheat beer. It's certainly not what we Bavarians consider as a wheat beer.
I actually said something like "Sorry, I think there's a mistake. I didn't order a cocktail." Waiter replied that it's whoregarden. I was like
Also, what is it with the Dutch serving beer only as 0.25 or 0.3 litre. "Oa Halbe" aka 0.5 litre is the standard size, ffs! |

Google Translate says both "witbier" and "tarwebier" translate to wheat beer, do I think there's a slight difference. Could you point out what you do consider a wheat beer? And what would you call a Hoegaarden?
And yeah I know, most places only serve "fluitjes" (flutes, 0.25), or "vaasjes" (vases, 0.3). It's stupid, it's as like they think we don't know how to properly chug half a litre! |

What I usually drink as Weizen (wheat beer) is 'Andechser Weissbier', 'Franziskaner', 'Hacker Pschorr' or 'Paulaner'.
Can't really tell how Hoegaarden is different from them, it just tastes like they put some lemonade in there. And it's served like a cocktail. |

| Is Weizen the same as Weiss though? |

| Wheat beers get served like cocktails because they are beers for bitches. |
