The fans aren't intimidating and neither are the Devils. It's one of the quietest, if not the quietest, playoff environment in the league. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a team come into that place and completely shut down the Devils, or Marty just collapses.

Well, I'll give you that... Even a smart fan knows we don't have the loudest building like Philly or Montreal does...

Our Stanley Cup, Eastern Conference, and Atlantic Division banners do the talking... We've raised dozens of those up there in the time the Rags and Cryers have raised none... That's the arena I'd prefer to be in ;)

No, I believe Madison Square Garden is the quietest playoff environment in the league, if you know what I mean... The golf course sees more action come April and May, almost every year...

Madison Square Garden and Nassau Coliseum are louder playoff buildings than the Prudential Center/CAA.

Hell...the Nassau Coliseum probably has the most underrated playoff crowds in hockey.

Winning a division means nothing in hockey today. Usually the 3rd place division winner makes an exit in the first round because they were only that high up in the seedings from winning the division.

My point is that they haven't qualified for the playoffs 9 times in the past 13 years (Islander 11 in 15)...

So, those buildings are a lot quieter, come-Playoff time... Minus the Justin Beiber or Jonas Brothers concerts coming up...

Your point makes no sense.

Those buildings are louder every time those teams make the playoffs. And the Devils make the playoffs every year and the crowds get softer and softer...

We're more expectant and take it for granted... You guys get all hyped up because you know it's gunna be another 2-3 years til you can get Playoff fever again..

And last night was very loud, not sure what game you were watching, but I was there... A lot of fights, a lot of chants, and a really good atmosphere..

The 30 or 40 empty ($250) seats at center ice that you see on TV are no indication of the rest of the crowd, which was packed and all wearing red..

The Rangers made the playoffs for four straight seasons and missed by a shootout goal this year.

Cmon...even yourself knows that statement is bull.

But not loud enough. And a bunch of dumbass Flyer fans doesn't mean the Devils fans are riled up.

Sorry but the Shark Tank has some loud fans. Their problem though is the fans dont dress in color. Pretty lame. But they sure are loud.

The Shark Tank's roof is aluminum so all the sound bounces around pretty easily.
