you don't miss the playoffs by one goal or one game, they were lucky they got into a position that they could have made the playoffs on the last day of the season. if a couple games were won in november or january or march they would have made it. i'm sympathetic to the rangers but word on the street (ie my ranger fan friends) is they didn't deserve it. |

I don't think they deserved it either, but I was getting at Eco's comment where he thinks this is the start of another multiyear playoff drought for the Rangers...gimme a break. |

rangers - hearthey didn't really deserve to win because they didn't put their all into the season. lesson for next season, look at the kings, coyotes and avalanche they rebounded from being at the bottom of the western conference last year to legitimate playoff clubs this year. anything can happen in a season. |

| I was there Sunday at the game, it was freaking crazy and the best game I ever saw (in person)....I wish Avery was able to play to add that dimension. Flyers I think will beat the Devils...Boosh has been steady, even after tonight. BTW: I have a Bauer Pro Rep on my team that has a "party" in July at the Borgota, many pro players attend. Soooo stay tuned if you want to "show" up... King Henry should be there! |

I'm surprised how much the Devils are sucking against Philly in this series. Philly is ing awful...and if they're taking the Devils down to the wire each game, that says a lot about how overrated the Devils are.
Whoever wins that series is going to get assjacked in the second round against Washington/Buffalo/Pittsburgh/Ottawa |

They're not "overrated", it's not a coincidence that we're SECOND in the East. The Cryers and the Rags play us 6-7 times a year and have us figured out. Apparently, Cryers and Rags fans use that to measure their "success", but it means nothing.
If we can muster up the energy to get past this first round with the Cryers, we'll have no problem beating Pittsburgh, Washington, Ottawa, and maybe Buffalo...
We've swept Pittsburgh this year, and won the season series vs. the Caps and the Sens. I'm pretty sure if we can beat out Philly in this round, we'll make it to the Stanley Cup Finals, and we'll see what happens there... It's a big hurdle and at the moment, I can't really say if we can get past it.. |

I don't know how you can come off saying Philly's awful. Their goalie has played a VERY solid 3 games, they have the right players that are getting done (Giroux, Carcillo, Carter), and their penalty kill has gotten so much practice this season, that giving up so many penalties isn't as big a deal as it is in other series...
They're not a GREAT team or a legendary team, but they sure as hell ain't as bad as the Rangers.. |

I'm a huge Devils fan and just got back from the game in Philly. I knew I was going to get all game for being there but it was for my die hard team. It was unbelievable how much people from Philly talk and how white trash that place is. I felt dirty being in the arena next to 19,000 drunk/miserable flyer fans who have nothing to live for except their sports. I for a minute thought I was going to get raped in the bathroom. :nervous: LOL! Not really but I didn't hear the end of the old Devil jokes all the pussies were saying. I kept my mouth shut all game knowing how stupid people get when they're drunk. Needless to say, that was the last game I attend as a visiting team.
Now to the Devils... I don't know where to start or where to stop. For s sake, can Lemaire please put the lines back to normal? Why the is Lagenbrunner with Neidamayer/Rolston? Why the hell are the Devils afraid of these bitches? I haven't seen the flyers play this dirty in years... O wait I'm lying. Devils need to step it up and tear the flyers apart if they want to get anywhere. Smarter passing and quick shots on net. I won't even get into the power-play.
Carcillo = dirty sanchez much? Guy skeeves me out. :eek: |

i don't know if anyone else just watched that game but my GOD craig anderson is a beast!!!! i watched the whole 3rd period of the san jose-colorado game wringing my hands because the avs were DOMINATED offensively i need to check the box score but no way they spent even 10% of that period in the sharks zone...i was nervous but after killing those two almost back to back penalties at the end of the 3rd i felt we had a chance. i figured the first relatively decent shot we had against nabakov would go in. it wasn't decent but it went in!
