2-1 colorado

Nabakov cant get the big games done...

I'm a huge Devils fan and just got back from the game in Philly. I knew I was going to get all game for being there but it was for my die hard team. It was unbelievable how much people from Philly talk and how white trash that place is. I felt dirty being in the arena next to 19,000 drunk/miserable flyer fans who have nothing to live for except their sports. I for a minute thought I was going to get raped in the bathroom. :nervous: LOL! Not really but I didn't hear the end of the old Devil jokes all the pussies were saying. I kept my mouth shut all game knowing how stupid people get when they're drunk. Needless to say, that was the last game I attend as a visiting team.

Now to the Devils... I don't know where to start or where to stop. For s sake, can Lemaire please put the lines back to normal? Why the is Lagenbrunner with Neidamayer/Rolston? Why the hell are the Devils afraid of these bitches? I haven't seen the flyers play this dirty in years... O wait I'm lying. Devils need to step it up and tear the flyers apart if they want to get anywhere. Smarter passing and quick shots on net. I won't even get into the power-play.

Carcillo = dirty sanchez much? Guy skeeves me out.

Yeah, I've been to a few away games over the past few years, and it's always a little hostile and people talking , no matter where you go... BUT, I've heard some real horror stories from people who've gone to Philly. The biggest complain was complete lack of security, because things get outta hand and the nearest security guy is 20 sections away, stuff like that...

When they came to the Rock last week, the they were saying, and how they were acting was really bad. It's one thing to cheer for your team, but they were actively trying to start fights, it was pretty bad..

For every 1 Philly fan who seemed to be there to watch a hockey game, there were 10 drunk Philly fans who weren't even watching the game, just starting and trying to fight someone..

So true about the fans. My girlfriend and I are scarred for life after last night. I was walking back to my car with my keys between my fingers incase anyone wanted to actually do anything which I was highly out numbered by. I actually saw a lot of security around the stadium. There were 2 security guards in the bathroom alone. I walked out and saw about 10 of them running somewhere. Encountered 3 nice philly fans. :eyes: One in the bathroom telling me I had balls walking in there saying I could get my ass beat. I guess he had a similar time elsewhere with his huge black eye. The other 2 were older gentlemen telling me to be very careful and not to talk back to anyone haha. One actually walked almost the whole way with us to the car.

It was an expierence I will forever remeber. The Devils should give us fans who go to these games an upgrade of seats for a game. :haha: I can't wait for the game at the rock on Thursday. I plan to give flyer fans as much hell as they gave me. Also making a "nice" poster for pre-game warm-ups and heading down to the first row philly side. :whip:

Phuck You Philly!

You want to know what else means nothing? Playoff seeding. It's not about how many points you get in the regular season- it's about how well you play come April.

The Devils finished second in the Eastern Conference...so what? They SUCK now and are looking like they'll be bounced in the first round.

You're trapped in this mentality where you think the top seeded teams automatically get byes to the Cup...it doesn't work that way. The Devils have finished in 2nd, 3rd (twice), and 4th in the four seasons following the lockout. And yet they have never made it past the second round. They haven't been a playoff threat in YEARS.

You're giving the typical Ranger talking points man, over and over and over again, it's getting kinda tired... Every hockey analyst and every playoff coverage show has the Devils as a threat. Getting Kovalchuk was our statement of intent that we want to win the Cup again. Marty's on fire at the moment, and any smart hockey fan would not put their money on EITHER team at this stage of the game.

You're completely counting my Devils out when the series is 2-1. If you knew anything about hockey, you'd remember that it's a 7-game series.

Also, if you opened your eyes a bit more from the Rangers hate-blogs, you'd see that every other series are only 2-1 or 1-1... No one but no one has a clear shot to win it. Up until yesterday, almost all of the West and all of the East were 1-1. Even the Caps lost the first game lol... You saying that the Devils "are looking like they'll be bounced in the first round" is completely foolish, almost as bad as the Flyers kids saying "SWEEEEEP" on the Devils Facebook page after game one...

For real. Even the Caps are looking like the Devils right now. No one ever thought the Canadians were going to give the caps a run for the money. I've had my money in the Canadians since the start. Camaliree (sp?) is a monster when he wants to be and the duo of Gomez and Gionta were always dangerous, even in the Devils era. And lets face it, Halak is pretty decent in net.

The Devils just need to wake up and they will on the flyers. Brodeur was absolutely amazing yesterday. Even the fans were like "oh did he just save that?" but were still talking like always. Man is a legend and will now always be the GREAT one. We just got a rocky start to the play-offs and I'm without a doubt sure that we will pass in 6. Once past the first round, its smooth sailing till the Cup series. Not all games are easy like Eco said. All the play-offs series are now at 2-1. It's been a GREAT post-season so far and will only get better.

If it wasn't for Queen Henry, the Rangers would have never gotten so far as to "almost" making it to the play-offs. :clown:

Ranger talking points? You're the one bringing up Ranger talking points, since it's the only ammo you have when trying to debate my arguments.

Let me reiterate- the Flyers are a crap team. They have mediocre goaltending that goes untested and they backed into the playoffs with an average record over March/April.

Meanwhile, the Devils, who have been fairly decent over the past month, are struggling each game to get past Philly.

What does that tell you about the current play of the Devils? They suck...

How can you possibly think that the Flyers are better than Washington/Buffalo/Pittsburgh/Ottawa?

The reason why Washington is doing terrible so far is they came out expecting to roll over Montreal since they're the #8 seed and Washington is the #1. It's the same mentality that Eco has (Devils are #2, so we're the best!)

Brodeur is a good goaltender in front of a great defense. Take the D away, not so much. It's not hard for a team with a couple offensive weapons like Philly (Richards, Gagne, Pronger, Carter), to blow by Brodeur.

No offense but both are pretty weak teams that wont get passed round 2. I think Philly is better this year but not by a large enough difference to affect round 1 much. I see it going to 7. But after round 1, whoever wins will be out. They just dont have the same caliber of talent as others now.

How I viewed the Eastern Conference in skill levels going into the playoffs:

Pittsburgh

Washington

Buffalo
New Jersey
Ottawa

Boston
Philadelphia
Montreal

I never said the Flyers were a better team. It does look that way the past few games where they have more puck control and playing like they want to win the cup. The Devils are what.. 7-2 in the series against the Flyers? For some reason it always boils down to the same whether it be with the Flyers or the Rangers. Its always a hard game. We manage to rip the Pens apart in the regular season and now face a hell of a time with the Flyers who barely made it. It's been a long season for the Devils with ups and downs through injuries and what not. The Devils were, and still are a very good team to be seeded #2. Goes to show how much #2 meant when the Sabers pulled the goalie and made a fool of himself which led us to score the empty netter. :haha:

And lets all be honest.. There have been some BULL calls on both ends of the ice thus far.

We need to get on the ice tomorrow and start beating the out of the Flyers if we want to win away. :whip:
