Only the blind won't see next bubble, green energy.
Last two, dotcom and housing wasn't enough, obviously.

You think your american dream is gonna last forever?
Big house in suburbs, wife, kids, SUV or two.
Country with 5% of world population using 25% of world resources?
I don't think so, and all recent trouble in US point to some big changes in coming years.
And, as much as I like Canada, without strong US, I don't see bright future for us.
So maybe your generation will be able to sustain this lifestyle, but what about your kids, or grandkids?

So that's why you fled your failed mother Russia?

Your hippie kind is tied to the fate of the average joe, everyone of us to the last one is dependent on oil, and way more than you can ever imagine.

Spare us your smugness, we're all in the same boat.

when you start paying peddling tax (gas tax for us), are forced to buy insurance, and require a license plate with a yearly sticker that costs $150, perhaps you can use this arguement. ;)

actually I can use that argument for because I'm paying for something that I'm consuming (road space)

p.s. as a go transit employee, thanks jenny I officially have a halfy

Guys we get it, there are legitimate people who need a car, who travel out of regular biz hours...etc. But the vast majority of people are not carrying monitors to work, or jumping from client to client, or going form Barrie to some obscure place in Scarborough.

The fact remains, road capacity is not going to increase ever.

You want to drive and take up road space, and say too bad to others. Well people want to ride their bikes, and things are changing, so suck it up.

exactly!

no problem! just dont put them on what used to be car lane space!

Sentinal
the gas tax is such a scam.

if you guys only knew how much of that money was wasted in the transit systems. I can tell you as an employee of a transit system, the wasted money is insane. As an attempt to use "clean natural gas" as an alternative to diesel it cost taxpayers ahem 10 MILLION DOLLARS!!!

That was just to equip the buses and garage to use this "eco-friendly" fuel. Now anyone may or maynot notice in Mississauga we dont have busses that use natural gas anymore. This is because it turns out to be ineffient and damaging to the engine of the newer fleet we purchased. sooooooooo. bye bye natural gas system, bye bye well over 10 million plus an additional 3 million to get rid of the system that was implimented 4 years earlier. good use of tax money.

If you're so concerned with saving tax money, start with your own salaries.
