I actually finally finished the tracklist of a 90s classic trance/hard trance/prog trance/goa trance/real trance/whatevertheyouwanttocallit trance today. Will start mixing it soon, hopefully have it uploaded in the next week or two. Though it doesn't have too many Platipus tracks :(

132bpm, huge kick, simple & quiet bassline, endlessly evolving melodic/harmonic content, percussion enters after five minutes or so, no breakdown
that's one idea - obviously there are tons of "perfect" tracks

I could almost predict that you rather want variety amongst your tracks rather than searching for that perfect tune. I see what you meant by that, it's impossible to find a tune you can't get tired of.
If I found a tune that followed my requirements, I would soon get tired of it, because I listened to it 20 times during a way too short period. But, I will demand a new tune that follows the same formula. It's okay to me, I like my music predictable. Although, then it needs to have different synths, drums, chord progressions and perhaps also a slightly different atmosphere.
Also, my goal as a bedroom producer myself is to create such track.

That's not really my point. There are tracks I've never got bored of and probably never will, but I wouldn't call them "perfect" because there might always be something better I haven't heard yet. You can't write down a list that describes your perfect track, because one day you might hear something so mindblowingly good it redefines everything you thought about music.
