Orchard Lounge - who I saw to start out with. Played some deep techy house, progressive and even a bit of oldskool electro. Definitely up my alley, musically. First time I've heard of them, too.
Grum - awesome, awesome set. Funky Italo disco. Played some stuff off his album, and Tensnake-Coma Cat.
Dusty Kid - his set had a weird flow to it, but I enjoyed the music he played too. Man, the Sunday School tent had such a great sound to it, even if it was dusty as hell. Heard him playing everything from mind techno, to melodic proggy-sounding music.
Tanzmann/Buttrich/Squillace - Only saw the first 45 min of the set, since I wanted to catch Grum's signing. But the basslines were rich and funky. Some great music here.
Above and Beyond - I'm not really into trance much anymore, and they played a lot of obvious tunes, and a lot of vocal trance... still the crowd was going insane during the show, and it was such a great vibe.
Aeroplane - one of my favorite production duos at the moment. It's always a treat seeing them spin... even if it was only one of the guys. Played a lot of their own cuts, including "We Can't Fly" and their remix of "Paris". Crazy hearing remixes of Human League's "Don't You Want Me" (of course the crowd sang along!), Daft Punk's "One More Time" and George Michael's "Faith".
Diplo - came on right after Aeroplane, only heard one track and did my best to get the hell out of there... what is this reggaeton ?
Marco Carola - techno with a little bit of melody. I liked him much better this year than last, he seemed to play a bit more "musical" than just bang-bang-bang.
Fedde Le Grand - chilled on a bench and watched from a distance. I wanted to recover for Digweed. Played lots of mainstream, big-room house and electro songs. What's with everyone playing that Rage Against The Machine song at the festival? That's random... He was OK, even if the tunes he played were rather obvious.
Digweed - got to stand right up at the front, like less than 10 feet away. Sasha and Digweed are my all-time favorite DJs so I appreciate any chance I get to see them. Loopy, banging, dark music... what I wanted to see. Very dynamic with lots of peaks and valleys. A couple of times he dragged slightly, but still this was the best performance at EZ. The tent wasn't nearly as crowded as I expected, guess everyone was seeing Armin instead. (I saw the first 5 min of Armin, then left cuz it was just a bit too pretentious for me :P)

got in @ 11:40 - ate some grub on a rock and went to d.ramirez at noon who dropped an excellent set. cosmic gate was meh so i went to funkagenda to get air and he was dropping a bouncy-ass set so i stayed to the end -- and all through laidback luke who rocked the place.
next was sander's top-notch set -- he's a great festival dj. caught the end of carola and switched between calderone and wolfgang gartner before the dust of two days caught up with me. i left right before digweed as i felt ill -- i somehow caught a fever and am sporting the coal miner's 'black lung'...
heard One six times in 2 days and miami-to-ibiza four times...

Man, what a bunch of miserable bastards. I started out at Sunday School for the B2B2B which was great. Then went over to Moby which was surprisingly awesome. Then went over to Sander which was nuts. Then went over to Marco Carola which was sick. Hopped over to Fedde for a little, he's always a fun time and had the place rocking. Then split the rest of the time up between Digweed and Armin....had a great time at both.
Props to made for fixing some of the issues from day 1. The wait time to get in was drastically reduced and it looks like they brought in some new bathrooms cause the lines were a lot better.
As for the dust, who cares? Freggin dance, party and have a good time. God damn I was with a bunch of women and they didn't even complain as much as some of you.
Bottom line this was the best weekend I had probably all year, it was amazing. 20k+ EDM heads both days going bonkers, doesnt get any better than that. My only regret is not going to the Blkmarket party but by the end of the day my legs were absolutely dead and when I got home I had a 101 degree fever, lol.

Boys Noize was GARBAGE. The name suits them because all I heard was noise.
Moby was fun but it is my 3rd time catching him and it's always the same exact set - same closing song & everything!
I didn't like that Fedde dropped 2 moby songs & ended with zombie nation??
Hearing MINACK live made my day. I knew from the samples of the album that it would be an awesome song to hear live. Holy crap was it ever?!? Felt so satisfied after that - I left :D

John Digweed's set tonight was definitely the best I heard all weekend. Didn't know he could bring it that hard & dark but damn I was completely blown away.
+1 Digweed made the whole day worth it for me. There was really nobody else who I could say I was blown away by, but Diggers was absolutely amazing. Moby was fun, Fedde was fun, and the beginning of Above and Beyond was pretty cool, aside from that, I can't honestly say there was much that made my head turn, and I tried to do as much bouncing from tent to tent as possible.

It's a legitimate complaint though. Made completely dogged it this time around when it came to booking trance acts. They took the most conservative names available (ex. ATB, Cosmic Gate, etc.) and then turned around and booked every Tom, Dick, and Harry techno DJ they could find. It doesn't make sense.
Dude, seriously, shut the up. The ing event's over and you still can't stop bitching about an event that you never went to and just whined about for 6 months preceding.
We get it, you're an ignorant moron bashing people you've never heard of. At least all of us that into techno, knew a big chunk of who the other acts are.
And speaking of your complaint about trance being so light on the menu, go look and see what sets were recorded. ZERO techno sets, instead it's all fluffy, commercial .

Day 2. Now THAT'S more like it! After a good night's sleep I was refreshed and ready to go! Weather was great, and right off the bat from getting to Randall's I got a vibe that more people were there for the music instead of OMG RAEV LOLOLOL I DUNNO WHO'S PLAYING.
Caught most of Zack's set, good stuff.
D. Ramirez was RIPPING it, I kinda didn't want to leave, but I had to for...GRUM! :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:
Best set of the weekend IMO. Just totally owned it and played pretty much everything I wanted to hear. It was so great rockin out in the cool breeze and bright sun to his stuff.
Bounced over to Dusty Kid afterwards, really enjoyed his set. The sound quality in Sunday School tent was the BEST out of all the stages. Really enjoyed the look of it too, with all the trees.
Stayed for the Buttrich/Squillace/Tanzmann set which was also REALLY good. Quite enjoyed that.
Went to the Ultra signing tent around 4 to meet Grum and get a pic (omg!)
Checked out Above & Beyond, who were alright. I really enjoyed them opening with Mat Zo's remix of "A Thing Called Love"
Aeroplane was next. 2nd best set of the weekend for me. Really wanted to catch him and he delivered! Lots of tracks I love.
Unfortunately, I reallllllllllly wanted to stay for Diggers, and would've made it but I had to and couldn't work out how/where exactly I'd manage to do that :o
Day 2, thoroughly enjoyable.
best track of EZ for me:

Did anyone else see mike "situation" on day 2?
Funkagenda said on his twitter that he saw him as he finished his set.
