Hope you enjoyed drinks on me. ;) |
I couldn't believe it...I looked down by my foot and saw it waiting to get in; at first i thought it was mine and i was like, "! I'm going to have to watch my all. ing. day". but then i felt in my pocket and saw it wasn't mine. but i took it anyway.

I thought the Erol Alksn and the Chemical Brothers were the highlights of Day 1. Victor Calderone, Moby and Sander van Dorn were all pretty spectacular on Sunday. I can't believe how thin the crowd was for Chris Lake though, very surprising.
That song One was obnoxiously beat to death both days and what was with the dropping of the rock songs in a bunch of sets? |

Armin played his album - we all knew that was going to happen and the album sucks. No surprise his set sucks.
I am happy he played Minack within his first 30 mins. I was walking out the festival @ 9:45.

You're actually contributing less to the thread here than I am. Stop trolling. |

Hmm, I found a $20 lying in the dirt over by the Hilltop Arena. Used it to buy Dynasty and Grum's album. |

| Does anybody know the opening tune that Digweed played? It sounded like something that came out of the 'Inception' soundtrack. |

I dunno what every is on about Armin's set. I've seen him probably 10+ times and his set Sunday night was pretty weak. Totally vanilla and predictable.. |
from new york times today.
"unday’s headliner was Armin van Buuren, whose video display spelled out his genre in letters 10 feet high: TRANCE. His music shared that kind of obviousness. Mr. van Buuren has become one of the world’s most popular D.J.’s with a particularly triumphal version of trance, infused with the bombast of European classical music: marchlike beats, swelling (synthetic) orchestral chords, arpeggiated melodies and, at times, quasi-operatic chorales. The inexorable trance arc from sustained chords to big beat to swooshing crescendo was thrilling for about the first 10 minutes — and then, the next times around, monumentally cheesy. Electric Zoo offered better, less self-important trance from Markus Schulz (more tuneful) and Above & Beyond (more ebullient)."
