Yeah! I was with a bunch of girls and I didn't hear them complain about the heat or the dirt as much as I see people here complaining haha... It's part of the experience. Some of the most amazing festivals in the world that we all WISH we could go to (in England, Holland, Spain, etc.) have problems like this AND THEN SOME: dirt, mud, people mugging each other... This one had very little things wrong with it.
If anything, after last year's and this year's, I just can't enjoy clubs anymore, especially the amazing selection of clubs THIS city has to offer. WOP WOP.. |

Funkagenda said on his twitter that he saw him as he finished his set. |
i could of swore he walked by me at one point..i had to take a double look and was pretty sure it was him.
but yeah, good times this year. my highlights are aeroplane (even though he came 15 minutes late, who does that for a huge festival like ez? lol), victor calderone (was extremely surprised by him, he def ripped it) and JOHN DIGWEED (amazing dark/steady pumpin set). only complaint is my throat, have a horrible cough again, ugh. |

anyone who says armin was good, i'm just laughing at you people. hist first 30mins= garbage, middle of his set was good, last 30 min = garbage. i can't believe the guy is still closing out with that mashup of in and out of love. it's been 3 years for gods sake.. close out with something different.. i still don't understand why he doesn't play live like his last 45mins of asot show? stuff from reorder, juventa, pushout.etc only plus of his set was rush hour :eyes: :eyes:
|
the funny thing is that ravi posted a video of armin saying he would be playing all songs from his album and you knew and all weekend long you were saying how much his set is gonna suck but yet being the fan boy you are you guys are, still went over and saw him and got a ty set from him lol you knew going in you wouldnt enjoy it
i dunno why you didnt stay around for vc and digweed lol i think your brain dead
review: got there kinda late and heard cg from outside the tent lol no comment i will just say that if you heard cg once you heard them enuff
went to the ta meetup and hung around for a few then went over to hear tanzman, davide&buttrich wow wow wow probly one of the best sets all weekend really great vibe during their set also
above and beyond: not feelin their set at all, pretty much went no where for a good 30 to 45 min, they started out with this hard techy sound that isent their style and then they kinda progressed with a few trance tracks but nothing mind blowing very disapointing i actually wanted to hear some quality stuff from them
after those guys i went to eat and prepare for carola,calderone,digweed...and while i was sittin down eattin i heard a lil bit of moby it honestly didnt sound too bad and he had the crowd doing ape
marco carola: guy was a beast as always had the crowd by the balls, towards the end his last few songs were kinda slowed down i though he would end off on a higher note
calderone: honestly iam a huge fan of him but his set this year was really a let down, he started out pretty good and had a few crazy signature crazy buildup and drops that hes known for, but then after that his set was up and down nothing mind blowing and just kept it on a tech house level mostly, his set last year was sooooo much better
digweed: set of the day hands down, i seen him once and though he was good...now i think hes GREAT wow i didnt know what to expect from him since he would be playing at the techno stage but his music was pretty much "deep dark twisted prog with a side of tech" lol
amazing set from him i really enjoyed it
overall this years ez was a really great time, i had such a blast with all my old friends and meeting some new cool people, i even felt the festival as a whole was alot better except for some of how the music acts were aranged with timeslots and stages but other then that it was a great for nyc to have such a sick party like this
even on the bus ride back home there were some kids who came all the way from ohio talking about how this was the best music festival they ever been too and cant wait till next year
on a side note who would have though a bandana and surgical masks would be such a hit lol next year its gonna be so funny to see the whole crowd wearing them ha ha ha
i got some vids i will upload later tonight or tomarrow
again thanks made event and everyone for this weekend it was really a blast |

oh boy here we go...day 2...again i feel like the oddball...
got there in the middle of d ramierez's set. that was kinda fun. much less people, so more room to dance.
cosmic gate was awesome. i thoroughly enjoyed their set.
laidback luke and moby back to back was awesome. 3 hours on the main stage i thought i was going to get sunburned....i really liked those two a lot. never seen any of them before.
above and beyond was very boring. i left to go back to the main stage.
didn't see much writing about Chris Lake, but that was a great set too. aside from the ridiculous drug use going on next to me, i had a great time.
feddie was ing awesome, and i wish i had been at his set from the beginning...BUT...

THIS.
WHAT.
THE.
.
:( So disappoint :(
armin was typical jesus armin pose. i left at 10pm.
didn't go to any after parties, and i still have a lot of ringing in my ears and dust in my lungs. my feet are killing me, but it was a great time and i'm glad i went.
i don't really listen to much "trance" nowadays and rarely get out. hell, the last time i was out was Tiesto at OKC last october. so a lot of things were new to me this year (aside from kaskade). so it was fun. worth the money. i didn't have a problem w/ the bus system and i take the subways everywhere; so i didn't get assraped w/ cab fees or ferry fees.
liked that they didn't have drink tickets. and liked they had blue moon. but i spent most cash on powerade and vitamin water.
oh, and i found $40 the ebginning of day 1.
and i kind of wish that i didn't have to slam my 5-hr before going in only to see people doing all sorts of in the place. but, that's security for you.
some disappointments w/ the lineups , but for what it's worth, i enjoyed it. overall, 6/10. hard to compare to last year because of different folks there, but i'd say last year was maybe a little better... |

LOL---I lost $40 at the beginning of the day---it was in my pocket with my phone, and when I pulled my phone out, the cash must have fell out...I was bummed, but alo glad it wasn't more than that...
Hope you enjoyed drinks on me. ;) |

Article from the NY Times says 25k each day for an attendance total of 50,000.
It also says the event was "sold out"...idk about that...it's an outdoor event so there is no attendance limit. You can't "sell out" something like this. |

bro - get off EZ's nuts already. it's readily apparent that:
-- you're broke
-- your music taste/knowledge is like kitten feces
-- you're a herb |
