In the end it is just information right? Its not harmful to anyone anymore, the crime could have taken place decades ago... Its just information now. Where do you place the boundaries on what information deserves privacy? |
Are you serious!? You really can't see the difference here? |

Also, we have the right to do what the we want with other countries because like it or not we are still the #1 power in the world. |
Don't worry, it won't be that way for too much longer (Thank God) |

Well, it is supposed to be free, and in this case you OUGHT to spread the information... to the authorities! Mind you, what's wrong in this case is not the fact that you're sharing images of small children being penetrated in every possible orifice turning their otherwise innocent world into a prickly damnation, but that you can help stop a crime and you're doing absolutely nothing to stop it. That's like seeing a robbery, look at the criminals in the eye, and refuse to say anything to the police. They're not exactly going to take it lightly.
And, even if it happened decades ago, the people involved might still be alive and/or provide information to prevent future cases.
So, in the end, your analogy works perfectly - but against your point. We're the authorities in this case, as the State has no one above it but the people. |

What if the pictures are old? There is tons of that floating around from the 70s when it was legal in most european countries.
There is no current crime... I mean at that point its just information. People were prosecuted, punished, etc. Why is the images still illegal?
You guys are either saying that information should have no constraints or that there should be constraints on some information...
So you agree, nuclear weapons and child porn should not be free information? What else? |
