You claim images made 30 years ago should be illegal, but not documentation that could cost peoples lives in the field.
If you are from the US, you think that images should be illegal, but not information that might affect your livelihood or your security?

Age is not a problem. Even if it happened a century ago and someone took a black-and-white photograph of what happened, you should still see if there's anything you could do. If it happen in Ancient Rome you still should send it to Historian. If it happened in pre-history, you should pray to an Ancient God so he can punish whomever he's got to punish... or something. Happy now?

if documents exist that can prove ANY wrongdoing by my OWN GOVERNMENT ..then in put that on the front page on every newspaper!..

So you think it should be legal to possess then, what about distribute?
Also, its pretty common knowledge that most of it was made in the 70s, it was legal in the Netherlands until the 90s. Look at the wikipedia for Color Climax, who are still in business today. |

It is not morally wrong to expose the names of undercover agents who might be killed? Or informants who might be killed?
How is an image morally wrong? The act is, for sure, but how is an image? Is an image of a person being killed morally wrong?
Is this image just as wrong?

Have you read any of the words I wrote?
If it helps catch the criminals, of course it should be distributed. Send it to the police, to social service stuff, to the local printing shop if they can frame a portrait of the rapist and have his face shown in every other lamppost, and you might even want to send one copy to Santa Claus so the child banging bastard gets nothing but coal on Christmas! But, by all means, do distribute it if you can help.
If however, you just want to sit around at home fapping away and acquiring this stuff for your own wank bank, then you should be locked up not just because of your upetry, but because you're becoming a hindrance to the investigations. And there's always an investigation, full stop. If there isn't, there should be one. If the case was resolved, then either delete it or try to find something the authorities didn't see.

I dont think you understand the argument... lol that or you are being intentionally overly specific in a way to avoid answering the real question.
An image is just an image, it has no ability to cause harm. Should those images be a crime to possess? If so why? Because its morally wrong to possess an image of something that might have happened a long time ago? |
