I'm usually too lazy to even travel to Vegas, but this might be worth the trip for Markus . . .

so on the site it has a lot of dj's listed at residents.

does the resident schedule vary? ie once a month, twice a month.

etc

Very often that's for sure

Erick Morillo: Dec 31, Feb 3
Kaskade: Jan 1, Feb 12
Chuckie: Jan 14, Feb 11
Roger Sanchez: Jan 7, Feb 18
ATB: Jan 8, April 1, April 2 (Poolside), May 28 (Pool side)
SvD: Feb 4, May 28 (maybe too far apart to really consider..just have two dates booked?

Interesting concept, so as long as it's not like this for a full year...well, at least for us...because then it'll limit who we could potentially be exposed to there. Might be the greatest idea ever in the end though since it iiiissssss Vegas (tourist/vacation spot).

Vegas is for grown-ups ONLY...and that alone gives it a leg up on the massive's of LA (though I love me some EDC)

The City (San Francisco for you non-locals) has lost its way. The only marquee club left is Ruby Sky and its IMHO soulless. The SF club scene is in serious need of new blood.

And now that I am an officially 30 something EDM fan...I think the upscale look and feel of the L.V. playground has even more appeal. I am never going to stop dancing / rolling or drinking martini's so might as well start doing it in style.

does this mean that rain/moon is pretty much dead?

going to really kill their business IMO.

The problem is you think West Coast TAs care about Top DJs. Some do, some don't, some sometimes.

I'm more looking at who has the best upcoming talent and best top DJs. I don't see any up and coming DJs that are making huge waves in music right there. There's no one on that list that is like Deadmau5 in 2006-2007 or Armin in 2001 (or name any number of techno DJs on here).

I'm just another jaded raver :P Who also used to live in Japan, so I have super high standards when it comes to what constitutes a good club.

LOL I like Womb but no, go to Unit in Tokyo, and man it makes me wonder why I ever put up with crap like Pacha in NYC and Fur in DC.

Define what you mean by amazing and I will tell you.

There are very good clubs in Tokyo. You've got your megaclub thing going on with Ageha and Womb but the other clubs have great talent and are beautifully designed, and all easily accessible by public transportation. Only thing that was missing was a vibrant underground scene, and even that is probably there but I didn't know the right people or speak good enough Japanese. (Seems like the psytrancers have the most of an underground scene and I'm not a huge fan of psytrance).
