Were you mocking those who play the race card? I thought you were being serious, essentially saying there are no legit criticisms of Obama and that any complaints about what he's doing is veiled racism.

haha.... all I truly want is for politicians, Democrat and Republican, to stop ing spending us into economic oblivion and show the same type of responsible budgeting that regular people have to do every day/month/year. |

Your point about illegal immigrants is short-sighted, being that it attacks the tree without a fundamental understanding of the root system. Even if your argument about how they're soaking up social welfare, is true (I've worked with quite a few of them and know those guys didn't) American foreign economic policy doesn't exactly create stability in Mexico, Southward. Overall, American foreign policy doesn't condone stable, healthy democracies which are likely to retain their citizens because they'd actually want to stay there.
Then there's the fact that I'm still unemployed. It's not just me, either, but I have a number of friends, in MI, who can't find jobs. One of them is a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and another is looking for a second job with a solid work history behind her. All of us have carpet-bombed applications and I've even applied for positions I swore to myself, I'd never do again.
I've been on a few interviews and even had one job, which I quit because it was chock full of stupid & crazy (long story), but the friends with less significant gaps in their work-history have yet to receive a phone-call. Trust me. I don't want to be on public assistance. I know most on public assistance around here, don't. It's not like they glad hand you into these programs. If you've ever seen a woman trying to purchase with WIC assistance, it can be an utterly humiliating ordeal. I even know one person who was intrusively asked to furnish proof she had closed a bank account so she could get food-stamps - and she's employed.
So, your suggestion that I might wanting to keep Obama in place to reap the reward of easy living is abso-ing-lutely preposterous. I'd rather be working. Working would let me have enough money for the occasional purchase of music equipment, not to mention allow me to contribute to my girl-friend's wages; currently keeping us afloat. The prospect of using food-stamps is humiliating. When you post that which proposes the reason to keep someone in office is to continue living some imaginary life-of-Riley you've convinced yourself of, you're demonstrating a chasm which, in and of itself, is self-fulfilling in its persistent if not willful ignorance.
COR VERSION: In short, such logic is the cause of the current crisis. Like your suppositions about illegal immigrants, it fails to attack the totality of their circumstance while vilifying the entire cross-section of people who fit into its pejorative criteria, based on some small sample of people who actually might be willing to defile themselves, as you've prescribed. Not that you're wrong, entirely. There are a small portion of people who don't have a problem living off welfare but those people, by and large, don't vote. |

| conservative talk radio seems to think that most of the stimulus package has not been actually spent yet. There are a lot of planned projects which are starting right before the election, but he is saving it up for right before the election so that it will seem like all these improvements are starting to work and he will get re-elected. So, where is the site that has the list of how the money is being spent. I know it's out there but I have just come across left or right sided sites, where is the primary source? |

Look at the markets they are soaring past 52 week highs, Canada's stimulus worked great, 60 billion in the hole and we are better then we were before the recession started.
Imagine that no stimulus bill went through? Probably you would have been having some boot soup right now. |

| The people that should be complaining are the middle class and large business owners. They are the ones that are going to be footing the bill for this. If you are unemployed you are in no way contributing to the improvement of the economy. |
