| I'm not sure if this question has been asked but... will funktion one be better then Stereo's sound system? |

i love stereo, but as far as the system goes it really isn't what it used to be.
that being said the actual architecture behind stereo is better suited for acoustics...that is unless Circus was able to overcome some of the limitations that their space can cause.
A place can have a better overall system quality wise, but if the room acoustics are poor it won't matter. The only answer to your question is that you will have to see for yourself. The reputation of the Funktion 1 build is very good, and if i am not mistaken (fran correct me if i am wrong) that the install of a Funktion 1 is done according to what the company wants and not the club. They want their product to stand out, so chances are they will make it as good as possible in that space.
I have not been to circus in a long time, but I have to admit that I have not been this curious and eager to go in awhile. Not so much for the music, but because the geek in me wants to see if they can make this work and sound like it is supposed to. I'm no professional, but to make a room configured the way i remember it sound good will be challenging. If they pull it off I will be impressed to the power of 10 and tip my hat to them. Circus has always been a decent afters with a really bad sound. Anything really will be an improvement, and a world class company getting involved is the best news that they could ever hope for. I personally am looking forward to hearing it. |

I don't know if better will be the term, I know the two will sound different, but I have a theory that techno will sound better in circus :) not like you ever get much in stereo anyway |

probably your theory is based on one post, and that would be Maher's post. ;-)
That being said, I play a kind of techno that is much warmer, much deeper, and much more organic than a lot of house and tech house tracks out there.
So saying a sound system will be better for techno is non-sense, as you have all kinds of frequencies, dynamics, quality and approaches to each 'genres' |

| all the clubs that have a funktion-one system are mostly house music clubs. :) |

Not to mention that different mediums will have different results. For instance some of the audio reproduction of programs like traktor do not always suit a system of this nature. The new traktor is supposed to address this issue, but we will see. (no martin, i'm not bashing the medium, only saying that some audio artifacts on a system that reproduces sound accurately will be noticeable. I've heard it at Stereo too.)
At the end of the day any system is only as good as the music that comes out of it. |

| ... and not to mention that some DJ plainly sucks and that Traktor artefacts will be the least of your worries when that happens ;-) |
