Disagree, Tiesto's remix owns bro. It turned many people onto trance just like he did back in 2000. So to answer your initial question... Tiesto Trance Energy 2000 is what got me into trance and haven't looked back since. Tiesto still has that magik touch that turns people onto the music just like he did a decade ago.... and that's what it's really about.... spreading the love for the music. So don't hate people that got into it after you, just remember how the people who turned you onto it hated you, like you do those now....
Anyway, I haven't read any other post than yours thus far. Trance is emotional music that not everyone experiences the same, just like weed. It's not for everybody, and it hits people in different ways.... and no other music can do that! :)

Mortyman - I'm glad I can arouse your "ire", and even more Glad that you posted On Topic afterwards too.
I have MADD Respect for Tiesto, I never claimed him to be , I just get dissappointed when I know a great track, and then someone has a "clouded" view of it.
Adagio by Tiesto is a Good Track. But when compared to William Orbits (Ferry Mix) that song is way more emotional. And when you here Tiesto's, it leaves me wanting more (But I can say that about alot of stuff these days).
And trust me, I AGREE, Trance is emotional and hits everyone different. But it does make me sadd, not hearing the quality stuff I used to hear. All my fave DJs, I gotta root through stuff to find what I like.
That being said, my aim of this Thread was to see the variety of songs that got people into Trance, and maybe see a trend in what people consider their "Clutch track". Maybe there is New stuff I missed, thats why I'm here, to learn.
And as pretentious as I may sound, I really do know my music. I dont check out the live streams, I dont go to the Live events often, I just look for good music. When I hear what "my" genre is becoming,I have to make my voice heard, because its heading in the wrong direction, and I think awareness needs to be created.
That said, Tiesto just released a Track for the "Old School heads"...
PS - Major League; Wonder (Tiesto/AVB) YES!! Now you understand the Trance I'm talking about. Boundaries of Imagination by AVB that CD was AMAZING!! You cant find stuff even HALF THAT DECENT!! Back in the Day every Compilation had ALL SIC TRAXX!! But now, not so much...
