The green Nike's of '01 were by far the best...

Sometimes. I always get them from the same person these days so they're usually all the same. '01 was a bit before my time though, considering I was 14 :p

When I first started going up to Toronto, my friend would actually hand-pick different kinds that he researched on pillreports.com so he could mix and match the different highs (whether they were MDMA-heavy or had more MDA) so I've seen all kinds of different ones. The Kappas were high in MDA, which I personally like more, but then again that was in 2006 so the quality could have easily been better in 2001.

TBH though, I think you're coming from a good place and are just trying to start a discussion about why people like trace. I just think you're going about it in your own elitist way, which kind of makes you look like a douche.

Yep.

A lot of us (like me and I'd say Johan but he can speak for himself) think in the same vein. Sick of the 'usual' vocal that's out there. Or the "tech trance" that is very cookie cutter imo.

If it's all blended very well together then I will love the Dj.

Ferry Corsten is terrible and has been for a few years now. I saw him at the Guv this past year and his set was unbelievably boring.

He's the only trance dj I've seen in the past few years that overwhelms my heart - that being said i heard his guv set was mediocre. His BEB set from april was one of the best I have heard from him. I don't listen to trance at home so never listen to his current sets.

The only other trance djs Ive seen this past 2 years were markus schultz, sander van doorn, and paul oakenfold - i hated them all

but I can still appreciate some good trance

PVD got me into the scene but this was one of my first *omg* tracks

Have never seen Oakenfold myself, but I've never really been a fan. I saw SvD at the Guv this past May and thought his set was very good, although I saw him Feb. 3 in Waterloo and it was not so good. As for Markus, he was at the Guv the weekend after I saw SvD there and I heard he tore the place down and played until 8am.

^^ Agreead. ASOT 2005 CD2!!!! ASOT 04 Was the Best, 05 Decent, he never brought it back to its Original "State" since. But I get alot of people talking about his Online Sets...so I guess he's almost "back to normal".

My Favourite Set this Past Year was LABOUR OF LOVE!! I was there for ABOVE and was Smashed but still listening to SCHULZ.

WHEN DIGWEED Came on....holy shiznizzle.....all I can say is check the Youtube Videos...I felt like I rose from the Dead or something

Digweed is the DEFINITION of TECHNO

No way to know what is in a pill unless you get a test kit.
