Bottle service and Warehouse space just don't go together.

This. When they announced this as a warehouse event with original bookings I think everyone assumed it would be a mature, no attitude throwback to the good old times when bottle service didn't exist in Toronto.

Bottle service being announced is just a reminder that people are organizing this to make money and that's the bottom line in their books. Same people putting together events at clubs except this time they chose a different venue. Not really a shocker when you think about it, just given the setting and style it's not something we expected.

Come on. There's a lot of risk and up front costs with a party like this. Do you really think it's going to impede your night if people want to buy bottles?

Maybe they should also make it a scent free party, in case anyone has any allergies.

I picture bottle service at a warehouse as a rope across a bunch of benches, which ultimately results in the bottles ending up on the dancefloor. Sounds pretty good to me...

That doesn't make it right.

Most annoying is when Guv has a bottle service booth set up right in front of the ing dj booth. :whip: :whip:

I guess my point is the majority of the people complaining about it frequent these clubs on a regular basis, but don't say anything about it....

And since when is throwing a party to "make money" considered a bad thing? The people who throw these parties do this for a living, so they'll naturally try to find a way to make their parties profitable.

well i hope Ricardo goes on a tangent and bore the booth plastics so they leave and then turn the place back upside down :)

You're right, it won't ruin a good time by any means. I just think whether it was the way this was marketed or the way we falsely built up expectations (no fault of the promoters) people were hoping for something outside the norm. $2000 bottle service doesn't exactly attract the greatest crowd imo but at the end of the day so what maybe you have 50-75 people getting bottles out of 2500.

Give me a break guys, they are throwing you what looks like a kick ass party. They assume the risk in putting an event like this on, and could easily lose money. None of you know what their break even is, so why complain that they are trying to cash in? A profitable party means more parties. Its always the poor who complain.:p

I don't get all the fussing and whining about Bottle Service. TIL, Guv, even Footwork (at least used to) have bottle service - this venue holds 2500+ and a fraction of those will be drinkin bottles. How does that make the party 'douchy'? To me, it's just a modern rave if you could call it anything.

I'm going to this - and I'm going to drink booze straight from the bottle like a douche, give light shows, sniff vicks inhalers, AND spill water all over the ing floor.

lol.

yeah, at a rave it's called VIP area. OK. Not ing bottle service. That used to be the best thing at Bal En Blanc or whatever, just a separate area for people that paid a little bit more with access to better bathrooms, better view of the DJ booth and some mothering fruit to eat and a place to sit. Bottle service at "tables" outside the dance floor area is just ing cheezy.

i am allergic to "protein shake and roid" farts. can we make it free of those?
RobotHouse
want to get free vip seating? bring a lawn chair and set it up in he middle of the dancefloor.

"oh this? it's my costume. i'm a catalogue ad for canadian tire."
