would easily sell a lot of tickets |

have Pauly D MC the night and you sell at least an extra 5 thousand tickets:p
it's sad, but for reasons just like this Paris Hilton might actually become a successful dj.
Deadmau5 sells more than Tiesto for sure now. |

deadmau5
Pauly D

in all seriousness, a 3 stage event with paulie d and Paris Hilton would work.
sell 2 tiers of tickets...main stage and all acess for the rest of the site. use the other 2 stages to book whatever semi big acts you fancy.
something silly like:
paulie d
Paris Hilton
guetta
Tiesto
deadmau5
as main stage...
you get your press en masse, corporate sponsors interested in the tmz crowd, and you can still do something to appease the edm lovers on the side.
have you seen how much a 30 second spot costs on jersey shore? paris Hilton is a walking billboard and when she starts to dj it will be on tmz every night, no one on earth gets as much free publicity.
as crazy as I am, it could actually work:p |

I honestly don't believe in all the major players coming together to make this happen. This would be the work of one, maybe 2 organizations.
Also let's not forget that behind all the success of Piknic, Mutek, 514, Black & Blue, Ravemontreal, I Love Neon... There was a great ORIGINAL idea, a vision, a vocation, and most important PEOPLE that carried a passion. This is the source of success.
Not 10 clubs coming together to make a buck.
Not just a marketing gimmick to pull the most people together. They started small, and the buzz made them bigger. Not the other way around. |

hmmm interesting discussion we got here. Refreshing to see this on TA.
i think if you could get produkt on board with playground, evenko, and piknic you could market cross-genre
but sadly i think that more partners = more headaches n conflicting interests
Martin: you don't think Evenko + Piknic + Playground (working w Produkt) with Louis heading this via his passion could generate enough interest?
I think just Deadmau5 + Pauly D + David Guetta + Tiesto could sell out the main room. And although I dislike this sort of music commercially it would be successful, no? |

it would also most likely secure the funding to be able to take the chances and exercise your creative vision as to the sound you want to expose people to in the other 2 stages.
of course I'm just hypothesizing in terms of getting the most people possible and not necessarily creating the best event. That main stage is filled with most successful people at branding. I'm actually surprised no one has tried to pay for the use of the mouse head logo for a clothing line. as retarded as I think it looks it is pretty bloody genius:p |

one of these days Steve Angello is going to be on the bill as Paris, his worst nightmare coming true.
Something that mainstream would have to be pulled off soon, I can see edm get so watered down that even the mainstream will get tired of some of the music out there.
Bal en Blanc/Playground has a business model probably similar to this already but that event is too close to WMC, books the same djs over and over again and it may have reached its pricing limit this year. We'll see how they do in 2012 when they book deadhouse :p |

Greygoose main stage, capacity would be 2000 people dancefloor the other 15,000 would be VIP sections. |

they'll book him again, his popularity has shot through the roof since then and he's def proven himself in the local market recently.
So many compelling reasons not to book him though :p |
