| I forgot how many people that actually book these artists browse this forum... I know you guys do a load for MTL and I always had respect for that, I guess now that I haven't really been partying for a while it has escaped me. |

It has nothing to do with me booking them or not ... Your comments are childish, useless, not constructive at all and plain stupid most of the time
You don't have to party or not, be in the scene or not to write respectful comments

troll a bit but more importantly offer suggestions and elaborate why the events are subpar to you and hopefully someone will read and consider changes.
Otherwise I would just stop posting and just move onto other threads or other parts of the internet. I stopped posting/trolling/constructively critiquing BeB events back in 2008 mostly cuz I realized they have their own mandate. And now look at their track record :p
But yeah, if you can come up with compelling reasons to push for what you like, def don't hold back. The thread that Louis posted recently was a great opportunity to do just that, imo. |

Now back to regular scheduled programing.
I'm happy to support the acts that I want to see; I vote with my feet and pocketbook.
It'd be great to see a little less cynical outlook in these forums, if you are jaded by the scene there is no need to tell us every single time. It's clear that people are passionate about the EDM scene, I say you aggressively support the acts that you want to see and enjoy and try to refrain from trashing the acts that you don't support.

Well the problem is, IMO, is that with the exception of a few promoters, DJs tend to only make it to Montreal about 2-3 years after they become really hot. Look at Seb Leger for a example. I loved this guy back in 2007/2008, but it wasn't until this past summer that he finally got booked here, and now I'm really not into him anymore (the new Gabriel Ananda release on his label is nice though). There are countless examples. I think Misha's frustration stems from most promoters not attempting to push the envelope in any way, and just playing it safe. It leaves a lot of us who are really into this whole electronic dance music thing kinda feeling cold.
Luckily there are still promoters in Montreal who are doing it right **cough**Ostrich+Creator**cough** and several others. You have to admit though Misha, that there were some events in MTL this year that you really would have enjoyed, that you did not bother to even check out. And if your tastes have really become so narrow as to dislike anything not Stroboscopic Artefacts, Perc Trax, Prologue and the likes, then you probably shouldn't be complaining. |
